as a kid i would try to pay attention, but i just couldn't hang in there.
if i didn't day dream i was going to go insane.. i used to create scenarios in my mind that i was a jw super hero.
i had a special costume that was partially made of "flubber" that would allow me to bounce all over the auditorium.

i just came back from the montreal meet up.
about 15 people showed up and we all ate at a chinese restaurant.
jh, scully, her children, kaethra, guess77, his wife, acsot, saint satan and his friends, lapuce, sisterliz, her friends.
Well I had a very nice time meeting all of you, I really can't wait to see you all again. I would have probally went to the Toronto one too if it wasn't on the same day as I work for an airline and its easy and cheep for me to go there and besides I have relatives in Toronto. I will be there in January if every thing permits. Its nice to put a face on people. I understand about the photos, it would have been nice, but I understand many of the situations involved there. Anyways I know one thing for sure its a very small world, especially which some that where there and even knew my ex-wife before I actually met here .
I had not had such a good time in a long time .

what do you think are the cutest accents?
i'm becoming partial to british accents for reasons i don't care to state.
i don't think i have one but, perhaps i'm wrong.
Well I have a Belgian accent when I speak french, as I went to english school but my parents were french of Belgium so even living in Quebec I speak with that accent, lots of women told me it was nice, they dont say that though when they see me :(... My english is just plain normal Canadian...

it seems to me that jws in the workplace fall into three basic categories: (1) the matter-of-fact type who goes about his/her business, not hiding his/her religious afflililation and seldom if ever initiates conversations on religious topics, but who nonethless hews to the wtbs party line on involvement in non-business social events, i.e.
office holiday parties, etc.
handling any inquiries succinctly; (2) the aggressive type that seeks opportunity to ``give a witness" to workmates, who brings in and displays prominently wt literature and reads or studies his/her wt at lunchtime and at coffee breaks; or (3) the ``double lifer" easy-going type who's one of the boys/gals and who onlyreveals his/her religious affliliation reluctantly or under duress, yet away from work is a regular meeting attender and active in ``field service.".
I was a number 3 all the time, it was hard sometimes as there were 3 number 2 JW at work which would make my life misurable when they were around..... I really had a double life as it was more fun to be with the worldly boys then being with those dubs.

tyydyy mentioned in a different thread about wanting to have lunch or drinks with a person, if he could.
who on board would you enjoy getting together with??
?
I don't know who really but I know many of you for sure... I know that i will meet a few in two weeks at the Montreal get together. If I had a preferance, I don't know maybe Mulan, Tinkerbell Shamus and Razorblade to name a few, but all of you seem to be people that are easy to get along and have good times.

Vivamus:Don't feel bad, I would go out to lunch with you too :)
.
my boyfriend (feels more like fiance though i guess as we've talked about but just need the ring) and i have been together over two yrs and living together for over a yr. he never was a jw, and professes to be no religon and isn't even sure god exsists.
is your signifigant other a jw or non-witness?
I was one in my early 20's now da'd almost 1 year, my ex-wife is still one, I still think there is oneday hope for her to get out of it....

like the one of the little girl falling into a big crack in the earth, a picture of amagedon from the paradise book.
few witness's stop and ponder just how sick that really is to show kids that at a young age.
if anyone has that post it to this thread for others to see just how hurtful that could be for children of a tender age.
The poor dog looks pityful on that picture, I don't see why they need to punish animals, since god created them for our pleasure, the more I think of this the more I become sick!

can someone find the link to the thread with the latest illustration of armageddon?
i need to take it to my children's psychologist.
Yes they seem to be obsessed with the world trade centre for some strange reason, also I like the one that shows the UN building in flames, and they applied for a library card to them.... how ironic!
