Yup it made it easier on those hours, did one door or two then jumped in to go to the farthest village in the cong, then back for a coffee, and finish off with a visit did this often, it made great hours with not much preaching......

rural service was always the most fun for me and my family.
we loved it.
i almost always drove out there and i mean out there from 14 to 25 miles from the hall we drove and then spent at least 1/2 of the day or all day out there in the "door to door" service.

has anyone here got to the stage where they just dont care about the wts anymore?
whether they exist or disband, whether its about doctrine and dogma, attitudes, flip-flops, what they think of you, scandles etc.
would this be the end goal of recovering from the jws?
I only care about the people, those who are lost to the WT, other then that anything to make it tumble would make me happy.
.
stomach flu or somethin' all weekend.
excuse me...
I guess its due to the spiritual food given by the Faithful and descreet slave........ That too would make me puke... Glad you're better now...
wow!
how about this hanging in your living room?
let the bidding begin!
Looks like one of those paintings that they have in communist/socialist countries, like East Germany's Honecker, or Ussr's Lenin......
I guess I'll see if I have enought pennies in my piggy bank....Loll
we could all say every bit of our experience in the wt was the worst.
i hated field service - i used to call it the agony hour.
i'd like to know how many people hated field service as much as i did!
Field service, I hated going door to door as I am quite shy by nature..... This always made me so depressed, It gave me alot of stomac pains due to the stress of it...
i think back at some of the simpler things we couldn't do or have because we were a witness.
i hardly know my father's (worldly) side of the family.
didn't know my grandfather, grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins.
All the fun in life.......... Like christmas and other holidays, B-days, sex??? no I had that, but thats about it....
i believe we were taught that jesus was around thirty years old when he was baptized.
now i was always told that the bible mentioned specific things like times and dates for a reason .as a guide for us to follow.
so by telling us his age this would seem to be very important for us .
Its a tactic, that way they will stay in due of peer pressure, they dont want to lose family and friends.... get them young!!!!!
i guess i shouldn't be surprised at this, but my dub sister told me this morning that at the meeting last night, they had a "local needs" about whether or not "christian" parents should enroll their kids in any summer camps, or recreational activities that colleges and universities offer each year.
the list of activities the kids can do are numerous and to me, they are an excellent source that could really help develop a child's talents, expose them to the wonders of science, art, engineering, etc., develop skills that would obviously be of benefit to them both now and in later life, and give them a chance to meet new friends from other schools in the area.
anyway, while not out and out forbidding it, these activities are being very much frowned upon.
Well they already did that bullsh*t talk at my congregation, it has been 3 years I send my oldest kid to a day camp, as he is Autistic and they do wonders for him, so I ignored the talk.... I'm glad I did, my son is now better then he ever was after that.
gbsjg just made a comment that the watchtower will feature the article on 'new light' this weekend.
what a perfect opportunity for a visiting brother to a congregation (or incognito apostate) to answer with some honest and thought provoking comments.
"i find it interesting that the watchtower criticises some religions for not changing their old doctrines and creeds, and other religions that do progressively change them for having had them wrong in the first place, and yet we seem to be doing the same ourselves.".
I feel sick, will miss the meeting..... how convinient to feel sickness comming along, it is a sign I guess
its a wt article on their official website called the "the danger zone".
"the danger zone"... isn't that an old kenny loggins song for the top gun movie soundtrack?.
here is the wt "danger zone"... .
Ok now I'm really scared... It gets better all the time...
