  A really good book about Watchtower history

  i recently discovered a great book which i would like to recommend.

  it is called a people for his name and it was written by a jehovah's witness named timothy white.

  i love this book and it helps one to see the origins of many things taught by the witnessing such as disfellowshipping and the blood doctrine.

  Have you ever snapped at someone in field service?

  have this happend to anyone and if so, what happend ?.

  it happend on a cold winterday in service, i was with my dub wife and another couple doing the door to door thingy, anyways i get to this door and the guy starts threating me, since i am quite large(beefy) i snapped back at him and sharted yelling like him and daring him to fight me, my wife got so mad after that incident and the the other couple didn't say a word.

  i did leave, but it was a close one.

  Baptismal date, do you remember?

  yesterday was my 15th year anniversary of being baptized.

  may 11, 1991. i'm not sure it counts anymore since i was df'd last feb. 3, 2005, but still, it is a remarkable period of time to pass by and reflect on what changes have occurred.. i was 18 years old.

  the "internet" was barely a blip.

  well remembered the month and year 1994, and it was in september.... thats all I can recall.... It was at a two day assembly.

  HEY I HAVE SOME GREAT NEWS!

  i have found one of my old jw friends from when i was a teenager.

  i discovered her on myspace and wrote her message and it turns out that she is out of the religion and doing well.

  this is the first time i have met one of my friends from my inner circle who has left the jw religion...i'm so excited!

  I like it, but its probally make in Holland because the Euro is cheaper then the pound its a question of economics... I guess I'll switch to Fanks from on now.... Actually I like HP-A1 on barbecues....

  How did you get out of sitting through the Convention?

  someone else wrote a good thread about the naughtiest thing you've ever done at a convention.. ok... what did you do to "legally" get out of your chair?.

  for me, it was easy, because i got to volunteer at some desk so i had 'permission' to be walking around in the hallways.

  I was in the security and when I wasn't on duty I helped my baby son or my oldest 4 at that time to go to the bathroom, drink.... eat... whatever...

  Do you think it`s hard to have a relationship after you leave?

  i have been out for 4 years now, and find it hard to meet someone who i find is compatible.

  one of the reasons being is that they haven`t experienced what it is like to come out of a cult, and i find there is a void there.

  does anyone else feel like this?

  It is very hard, I couldent function anymore, became paranoid and tried to commit suicide as none of my relationships worked after I left my wife, I cam back to her after 4 years as she was always hoping for me to come back. She is still a dub but sofened alot. Its hell!

  this is an experience from andre' r_____, overseer, just back from the branch committee course at patterson: in england, one of our blind brothers had a seeing-eye dog that would faithfully guide and take him to the meetings each week.
