So What Would You Do If You Won $550,000,000?

ok, so the mega millions jackpot is at half a billion dollars.

if you won and decided to take it in a lump sum, you automatically lose 40%, then there's state and federal taxes, so you'd actually get a 'meazly' $240,000,000.. what would you do if you won that kind of money?

other than donate a chunk to the world-wide-wit-lessing-work..........

well thats it ladies and gents.

i levelled with the sister who continues to chat with me, telling her i will never return to the organisation and my reasons why.

i hope i didnt hurt her but i have done what i could never do and tell her things the way they absolutely are.

exciting times.... son moved out of his jw home this week amid uproar from mother because he has follwed my advice about moving out and starting a new job.

visited him tonight in his new digs and he said: "don't know if i am going to stay in the truth"...!.

my advice was if that is what he wants to do then perhaps now is the time to not go to the new local hall and do a fade.... daughter read animal farm for school and commented: "i can see a few similarities to the jws in that story".... my response was well, wait till you read 1984 darling!

Also remember that the organization was not always so organized. Many articles appearing in the Watchtower and Awake! magazines before 1994 were not all discussed by the governing body before publication, so questionable things and prophetic dates were forced that the organization later learned to weed out. It use to be that some on the GB were responsible for most of what was written.

Same here. I don't have much more to add to what you said. Except when I left I didn't have guilt. I did wonder if I was good enough to go through life on my own without the religion. I was drawn to the religion because it appeared to be a contrast to the way things were for me growing up to find out it was just another dysfunctional relationship in disguise

The only ones who may notice are those who read their magazines ahead of time yet with everyone being so busy this month they may not get to it until later. This will be studied Aug 13-15 by then people will be tuned out anyway with district conventions and thinking about summer fun.
