So, what should be confidential at schools? I have been to schools and nothing was ever a big deal. In fact, why not let everyone known and take all the mystery out of the Torah of rules they seem to create? What are they afraid of?

So,.......What Do They Do Next?
by metatron inwhat do recent events tell us?
well, the special talk seemed utterly directed at getting lapsed witnesses back into the cult.
"jehovah wants you back......".

can of worms -ranting
by so confused inthe more i'm reading and thinking about what i have previously learned it just opens a whold new can of worms.. my husband and i have been reading/comparing the nwt, diaglot, reference bible, etc.
and i saw where the society added words, changed meaning, even added an entire sentence without ().
i have seen where they have emphasized sayings in the watchtower that are not in the bible like "paradise earth".

My wife shunned her sister most of her life because we were being the good little JWs. As a result, we lost allot of time with her sister and never got to know her kids. Thank goodness she did eventually say "screw it" and got in touch with her sister and she flew down and stayed with us. My wife diied last year and at least she had a few good years with her sister...but so much was lost!!!! Her sister has no interest in the truth and never will again...so what is the point? I have known so many "good witnesses" as the saying might be that often do associate with family, at least to some extent. Confused, I think it is time to get off the fence. Go on with your life. My wife and I both got tired of the "guilt" of never feeling as if you were doing enough. We have known many many witnesses but not one of them were truly a friend. I think you will get to a point where you do not miss them. The love the profess is conditional...leave and you will find how conditional it is!!!! I think you will feel better once you make up your mind, but living in limbo is no fun, so I hope you work it out! I personally do not think Witnesses are much more of a cult than any other religion or political group. If you buy into it, then you are expected to conform. No one holds a gun to your head to stay...and true, you might give something up to leave...but that are the decisions THOSE people make. This is YOUR life and you will feel better when you take back YOUR life and make YOUR own decisions! Best wishes!

My sister went even though she is not regular. There were over 300 for this meeting so it sounds to me they had a large attendance. My daughter went to another memorial and she said that some apostate individual was making a comotion at the beginning but I guess it settled down. I have to ask her more about this.

Very nice song, this can apply to many situations. The lyrics fit those of us that have recently lost our mate too! For some it does feel like the walls are falling down. Sometimes we do act like fools and fail to read the signs of what's coming or really, we are trying to put it out of our mind and not accept what is going to happen. So, I really liked these lyrics! Thanks for posting!

C.O. Is coming this week
by Freeof1914 inso i had the elders come to my house about two months at the time i told my wife and family that i was having doubts.
they came by i explained my position and they basically told me i needed to be more humble and just tow the line like many others have before me.
well i have not gone preaching or to any meeting for two months after that and did not recieve any phone call from the elders, which was fine by me .

I took the fade approach. I was an MS that stepped down. At the same time, there was a congregation split into different halls and locations. I had a few show up, usually some brother I had never met and maybe another I did know. I would listen to them politely but just tell them that I have allot on my plate right now and tell them I apprecated their visit. Of course, I never went to a meeting. I also think it helped that we split because I think I got lost in the seperation of halls! Eventually, they stopped coming by and unless I see some brother or sister in public (which rarely happens), I have managed to float under the radar. Now, I don't hesitate to tell them that I am inactive, and throw out a few personal tragedies that have happened and say hello/goodbe with some polite chit-chat thrown in. I did like many of the friends, so I have nothing against them. If I see a DF'd person, I walk right up to them now and say hello, that I miss seeing them, wish them the best, and ask them about how their life is going. That makes me feel good about myself. They are usually unsure for a moment since they do not know my status, but they quickly see that I am no longer part of the congregation. Some of them are even facebook friends that I keep in touch with now. That is how I handled it.

At Aussie Oz...to long...here is the simplified version of the letter.
Dear Brothers,
The Internet is a bad place which is why we have discouraged it use in every form. However, new light suggests that the Internet could and should be used to spread our words to others. We still hate the Internet, but we love the ease at which we can disseminate publications and save printing costs. Enjoy the digital feast!
