Teejay,
I said the same thing. But she insists she's heard too many wild stories about things that can go wrong using a ouji board. She still freaks out sometimes when I'll stop and be staring at something she can't see or listening to something she can't hear.

Target : My experiences are more with channeling, auras, remote viewing, and astral projection. I've not yet touched a ouji board basically because I really haven't found the need to. I just think it would be interesting to see the results.

I'm an atheist, but have yet to use the ouji board. I, on the other hand, have had much experience with spirits and supernatural phenomena. I really want to try the ouji board, but my wife gets freaked when I talk about it.

Anyone Remember The Chaperone Thing?
by Englishman inback when i was a lusty young lad of 17, a certain sister caught my eye - i swear that she could make her eyelashes beckon - and i duly decided to pay court to said sister.. however, it was not to be so simple.
round about that time, it would have been mid-60's, the wtbts were having a real downer on anyone who wore a short skirt (not me), danced the twist or grew their hair (me) over their ears.. but, the worse thing was still to come.
folks, i am talking about chaperoning!

My ex hated the chaperone thing. She always said that if something was going to happen it would no matter who was there. She also said that if there was always someone there you would never be able to get to know the other person. Needless to say neither of us attend any meetings and haven't for at least three years. When I lived in Arizona my best friend just happened to be a female. We weren't supposed to talk on the phone with someone of the opposite sex so my landlord who was a witness tattled on me and the elders talked to me. I pretty much told them that if they thought they were going to tell me who I was going to talk to and who I wasn't and who I was going to hang around with and who I wasn't then they could go f*ck themselves. They weren't to pleased. Actually shocked was a good word for it. I was a very outspoken person if you couldn't tell.

Remember hiding out
by Parliament inremember having hide in the basement or the back room of your house so as the trick or treaters thought you weren't home!!!

I was just telling my wife about having to hide as a kid from trick or treaters, as we were walking our daughter from door to door trick or treating. I made the comment that she'd make a good JW with all the doors she was knocking on, but didn't get any laughs!

"Band of Brothers" & "Why We...
by Nathan Natas inwwii was my father's war, my uncles' war.
my dad was with the army in germany, and my marine uncle returned from iwo jima.. being raised as a 'dub, i had no connection to any of that until it was too late.. for that reason the hbo series "band of brothers" holds special interest for me.
these were the 18 year old kids my dad and his brothers went to school with.. anybody else following the series?.

I've studied warfare ancient and new from age five on up. The series, Band of Brothers, is one of the best portrayels of what went on during WWII, and how these soldiers reacted and bonded.
