i've decided that its a little more than can be solved with just this board so i'm calling in the pros.
hopefully they can just do some type of operation and remove this borg chip that is still implanted in my brain.

Kind of Depressed, Looking for Someone to Talk to
by Reborn2002 insome of you on this board know me, or at least part of my story, very likely most of you do not.. i am a 21 yr old male from chicago who finally mustered the courage to da myself roughly 6 months ago.
being a 3rd-generation jw, my grandfather was an elder 45 years, so this developed a reputation and precedence for me that i would one day be a co.. or go to bethel.
such high expectations, which i am happy i never fulfilled.

Hey Reborn -glad you escaped so young- you have a lifetime ahead of you. I was there over 20 years,got kicked out at "old age" wanted to kill myself- only because I couldnt believe Jesus came invisably in 1914-I was ousted in 1987-I want to tell you I am 74 now- Since leaving the "lie" I have never been happier-no guilt- yes I have family still "in" but I have hopes they will one day "see the light"

Tell em just as it is Flower. It is good to "let go of it" I also believe the therapist learns something also- so many have told me " I thought JWs was a Christian group I have had a couple who want to kill themselves on leaving MIND CONTROL behind"
I also believe God uses Broken vessels-- which we all were or are.

this comes from the branch in canada....... in england one of our blind brothers had a seeing-eye dog that would.
faithfully guide and take him to the meetings each week.

We were all standing singing = "Our is the God Of True prophecy-what he foretells comes to be" A terrible tornado came up- it was pouring & very dark- But we all stayed & got drenched.
The next day the Brothers told us - It was supposed to Funnell right over us-( the newsmen had said)but Jehovah had held it back- We all had tremendous applause.... -

Whats the dumbest thing you were counselled for?
by Beck_Melbourne ini was once counselled by the elders for watching 'knots landing'....it became widely known in the congregation that me and a few other sisters would rush home from field service to watch our favourite soapie.
if we missed it, we would ring each other up for an update...or...if we weren't near a tv we would ask someone to put the phone handset on the top of their tv so we could hear it...pathetic huh...but that was all the excitement we could scrounge up in our otherwise dull and uneventful lives.
one of the elder's wive's conscience got the better of her...and she confessed to her husband..lol.

I am a lot older than you all- I was counselled to "not run ahead of Jehovah"Why? The younger sisters looked up to me as a "spiritual Mum"
Some of their husband were demanding oral sex....( they were not JWS)
I advised the women- That iT was really between her & husband what they did in their beds.Many of the sisters had approached me on this subject...One of them went back & told the Overseer. He told me-
We have not had permission for women to give advice ,I was running ahead of Jehovah....When it came out years later in "Questions from Readers" about oral sex....I told the brother...He told them a differant answer than I....( Jehavah) a no-no -

Why Is It That Americans Here Never.....

i read all these posts (mainly by a couple of cuddly norwegians) about how the us needs to get it's act together, then there's a flurry of ripostes, the occasional nasty dig, a few generalisations and then the whole thing peters out until some bright spark feels the urge to start off the mischief once again.. well, im sick and tired of belonging to a perfect race and living in a perfect country.
the uk obviously has the best economy, the best soccer teams, the best monarchy, the best teeth, the best cuisine, the best weather, the best tv, the best armed forces, the best penal system, the best paranoids,.

Lots of Bed& breakies in town. I only have one room so cant invite you to stay-but all meals on me,no Tin Hortens here yet though they are fighting about getting one in. -

((((Flower)))):X I read your post darling-Your well on the road to recovery-Why do you think I use my handle(MOUTHY)cos at times I guess I say things that hurt.So with a name like that I prepare folks ahead of time. I also have been hurt on board- but I truly think it is "where we have been" that helps us to take offense quickly.
