I have just finished reading Watchtower of Aug 15th 1968.( I was still there then) I couldnt believe what I'm reading & I qoute
"Are we to assume from this study that the battle of Armageddon will be over by the autumn of 1975 & the longed looked for thousand year reign of Christ will begin by then? Why not? Because after his creation Adam lived sometime during the "sixth day" which unknown amount of time would need to be subtracted from Adams 930 years ,to determine when the sixth seven-thousand year period or "day" ended
& how long Adam lived into the' seventh day' And yet the end of the
sixth creative 'day' could end within the same Gregorian calendar year of Adams creation .IT MAY INVOLVE ONLY A DIFFERANCE OF WEEKS OR MONTHS ,NOT YEARS,
eXCUSE ME? Did I miss something????

Women are Not the Glory of God
by JosephAlward inno teaching in the bible is clearer, more consistent, than the one which teaches that women are inferior to men.
below i show that it is taught that the woman was created from man, for man, that man is the glory of god, but woman is not.
furthermore, the evangelist paul says that he'll not abide women teaching men, and he refers to genesis to explain why.

Men like to quote the scripture " a nagging wife is like a leaking roof" but as someone pointed out to me- The roof only leaks if it is not attended to.So men if you have a "leaky roof" needs YOUR attention I'd say.
Sorry if this is off topic- but to me it shows -we "aint" no better than the other- man versus woman -

Welcome Glory & other newcomers. I dont have a religion I have a relationship with Jesus-since I believe he is the mediator.
I do go to differant churches when I feel like it- God doesnt live in a building is my belief-but I do think it is good to fellowship with others. I think I have visited every religion since being "ousted" from my sic! "brothers & sisters"But I would like to tell you I have met REAL friends in all religions- & they love UN yes! UNconditional.
When my son & daughter was dying- let me tell you the kindness the Christians( that believe in Christ)did to them was unbelievable- & some of them didnt even KNOW them- It was the United, Pentecostal, Baptist, Mennonites,Non denominational, Lutheran, I have come to the conclusion Christ is the head of the body- all these caring folks are the hands, eyes, feet,To make up that body- I am so grateful I was ousted from the Borg- else I never would have been so well cared for. -

The Annual ``Don't Misbehave'' at Asemblies'' KM
by Room 215 ingreetings from the ``here we go again'' department.
while worldlings have only the song of the robins and the bloom of the daffodils and crocuses as harbingers of spring, jehovah's people and readers of their literature can always count on two more: the annual ``don't partake!
'' article in the watchtower, and the yearly exhortation to ``make nice at the summer's assemblies'' in the km.. in the case of the latter, the tone and content of the annual scolding is unbelievably demeaning to any responsible adult... being told to dress nice (suits and ties only, please, for the men and deresses only -- not too short ladies) not to abuse complimentary breakfasts, pool privileges and generally avoid rowdiness at the hotels where they stay-- all laced with clearly fabricated -- not to mention unattributed-- quotes from ``worldly observers amazed by our fine conduct.''.
