What's wrong w/JW's?

i would sincerely like to know what is so wrong with jehovah's witnesses.

i invite anyone to post here.

please use facts not personal opinions.. i am not interested in dates, the blood issue, nor the disfellowshipping issue since i am conviced that these do not prove that they are wrong.. i am weighing in to see if you as an opposer of jehovah's witnesses have the facts or not.

You're Doomed!

about 3 years ago we had one of those 'lovely' visits from the co. for his main talk he decided to encourage us out into the field, to do more on the ministry.

i don't know who his motivational instructor was but he might as well of stood in front of us at the hall with a machine gun.

the main point of his talk was "you only do one hour a month?

The last meeting I went to, the elder that gave the Public Talk went on and on about how imperfect we all were and how we all needed to make changes.....walked away with the same feeling of "I will never be good enough!"

Mormons phoned for the last time - I hope

i had a follow up phone call from the mormons today wanting to arrange for house visit no.

2. the first visit had been a game where i asked questions and they wriggled about a bit so as not to address them -- it brought back dub memories, i'm telling you.. it went like this.... who will survive the world's judgement day?

only mormons and exceptional individuals.. how about me?

Madeline, Jane, Lily, Emme are some nice simple girl names.

hi folks,.

i've been on this expose the organization kick.

i'm so angry mainly at myself for being suckered in that i guess i'm running on emotions rather than using my head.

I am sure every xJW has made an ass out of themselves at one time or another. I finally realized that if they have questions, they will come to me. That is probably the main reason I haven't DA myself. I have friends that slowly walked away and they have been able to help quite a few people, but they said those individuals came to them not vice versa. You live and learn. Just try to think back when you went d2d, it wasn't you personally but your message. They have been trained well by the organization not to listen to you.

Bible only for anointed

when i would question my mother about certain scriptures, she would always make the comment that the bible is only written for the 144,000. is there any truth to that?

(i know there isn't, but is that what the jw's teach?

) when she said that, i was just blown away because of all the years i was a witness, i had never heard that.

Thank you everyone for your input, it is greatly appreciated. I have been on a long journey trying to overcome the teaching of the organization. I try to take it one step at a time. I found an individual that has helped me out tremendously in understanding the scriptures. He studies the scriptures and Greek and the times in which the bible was written. He isn't affliated with any religion, and doesn't claim to have all the answers. After coming from a religion that has an answer for everything whether it is true or not, it has been comforting to hear what the scriptures have to say for themselves. He actually brings nothing but a bible. He explains the time in which the scripture is written and the meaning of the words in Greek and lets me come to my own conclusion. I didn't think there were people who actually studied just the bible and not a bunch of religious mumbo-jumbo. Anyway, it has been refreshing to let God's holy spirit be my guide rather than a religion. I still have alot of questions though and I will continue to tackle them one at a time. Even though I like all the input from each of you, I have to go with my heart.
