glad i got that out of the way.. something that really bothers me is: when they say that the gb all the way down, elders, and ministerial servents are "appointed" by jehovah, and are deserving of "double honor".

Read Crisis of Conscience - the book is insight from Ray Franz - a former member of the Governing Body. They are not appointed by holy spirit - they are elected because they got noticed. The Governing Body does not pray over each appointed elder either - which is discussed in the book Crisis of Conscience.

Very twisted - I could say a mouthful on this one - but I will leave it to chance that you all know my exact feelings.
Never knew equal meant some were "superior" to others and depending on what sex you were born equal took take on a new meaning as well. A freind of mine years ago wanted to go the Bethel - but she was told all the cleaning positins and other woman positions were filled and htey were only accepting the brothers. That sounds real equal to me.

i would love to attend an apostafest - but it needs to be in the south and somewhere close to florida so i can drive to it.

Battered Lambs Webpage (new)
by silentlambs inafter reviewing the society's vapid interest in helping battered women and seeing the many sad stories posted as a result of the article, i have a new addition to the silentlambs website.. a new webpage for battered lambs.. this will be accessed off the victims page with a clickable link.
there you will be able to read the stories of those who have suffered physical abuse at the hands of wt policy.
all stories will be posted anonymously of course and there will also be a second poems and thoughts page dedicated to victims of physical abuse.

Weird Scriptures
by deceit inhi all,would just like to say a quick thanks to all the regular posters on this board, please dont think for one minute that your hard work in unmasking the borg is going without notice.
lurkers read here and think subconsciously about all info provided and sooner or later it all dawns on them (like myself),,,, so once again thanks.. now, what my question is, do any of you guys know some real good scriptures from the bible that are really weird/gross/unethical/murderous ect ect?.
the reason being is that there are quit a few that i know that think the bible is like a nice smelling rose and seem to forget that there is also a really strange and dark side to it that really doesnt make any sense.

The book of Ezekiel talks about what seems to be UFO's.
The Genesis account where there was light and plants BEFORE God created the Sun - (although God could have been the light?)
Can't remember whre - but Baal was a real live person. There are tons.
God smelled the inscense of the burnt offering and it smelled good (again don't know exactally where) which makes it appear God was flesh and bone maybe? Of course that goes along with a whole alien theory... Who knows.
