by YYHWH init sure is nice to have the freedom to enjoy some of the simple things in life without having a guilt trip.. i remember when i was in the non-truth and i would go on vacation i would always use the oppurtunity to grow out my beard, of course my wife would insist that i shave before anybody from the hall saw me.. now i keep a full beard and it cracks me up when i run into people from the hall and when they talk to me they seem to not be able to not stare at my beard.. i cant wait to get me a tatoo.

Doc - You will have to post a pic of it. A whil;e back we all posted pics of our tats and so if ya get a new one, you have to share... it's the rules. Yeah, I bet that one spot does hurt. I know my arms were nothing at all, but my spine right over my tail-bone... OUCH!!!

When you left the JW's, did you remain a Christian

the reason i ask, is that when i left the witnesses i explored all kinds of concept and religions and even attended a few churches.
i soon found that i was attracted to new age and pagan believes.

I believe in God, but not Christianity or religion in general. It is of my opinion that religion is nothing more than control and dictation of man's teachings over the masses.
In a nutshell, I am pagan. But it is not quite that simple, as I am not a "witch" nor do I practice anyone certain set of standards. I take a bit from here and there... a piece of all of them. Buddhism, Christianity, Celtic, Eastern, blah blah... Whatever feels right and makes sense. So, since I am such an eclectic mix, I suppose you could but me in a category of pagan, although I am not 100% sure if that applies either.

birthday party
by WildTurkey inwe had my little girls first birthday party yesterday, and in my head i knew nothing was wrong with it.
but i was still not comfortable, i still felt like i was doing something wrong, until i looked at my little girl and seen how happy she was, the smile on her face, for the first time in her life so many people was there just for her.
at that point, i knew nothing was wrong with it, once a year a person should be treated that way, helps your self worth.
