So sorry dear, sending you a very big hug.
Amanda
my mother has six children, all of whom she raised in the truth.
over the years, all of us (with the exception of my older brother) have either left the org behind or got df'd and never bothered to return.
today, out of the blue, my baby sister emailed me to say that she's back to attending all the meetings and even when out in service last saturday.

how many of us can remember how mr. rogers was such was so much a part of not only our own childhood but our children's childhood.
how i remember as a teenager coming home from work and seeing my little sister watching mr. rogers.
and then after having my own children in my 20's sittng with them on the floor singinging along "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood,,,,,,won't you be mine won't you be mine, won't you be my nieghbor.
Captain Kangaroo!!!! OMG I loved that show! Anybody remember also the Electric Company?
my jw friend told me there was a part on the service meeting last night, about calling on inactive ones.
we knew that was in the km.
she said the po gave it as a talk, and said there were 15 inactive ones in their territory (we are 2 of them), and that elders had been assigned to call on all of them to encourage them.. but..................he said all those in the congregation can and should call on inactive ones regularly, and truly encourage them.
Mulan - That is VERY cool! But I think the attitude in each hall is very different. Some are warmer than others. Know what I mean?

That show got on my nerves as a kid. The one puppet, the older lady reminded me of this one chick in our hall, looked like her and everything. Drove me batty. The only one I liked was that one little boy lion puppet dude... Anyhow, found the show all together grating.
aztec...where are you?
i remember something about the possibility that she may be moving.
i know the format on this forum has changed, but i'm sure she could access it.

(just starting a new thread with these thoughts)
howdy,.
this is nice topic to kick around because everyone has a different experience and opinion.
So is spanking bad? Not when it is done in the right way.
Then next time your signifigant other notices when you have done something wrong, they have every right to physically hurt you. Correct? If a wife comes home late, it is OK if her husband hits her, correct? If your freinds don't pay back the money you loaned them, it is ok to pull down thier pants humilate them and spank them, correct?
No? Interesting, what makes a child any different? Other than the fact they are 1/3 your size and only been alive for a few years, so that alone makes it A-Ok to whack 'em a time or two, yes? I mean, how else can you keep a little person in line! Fear me! I am Mom!
Please.
