True story-There is an attractive Greek man in my town who owns a diner. He is handsome, older and a tab bit vain, so he makes sure to dye his hair and work out at the gym. He was impressed with all the tattoos on the young guys there and was leaning towards getting one...then he saw an old guy with a tattoo stretched out into a green blob and was horrified to think that if he got one, it would eventually turn into a blob as his skin got older. He started sporting fake tattoos with pride. He went to the gym with one of his fakes, and the arms rolled up on his shirt. Walking up to the guy who worked there, he said in his delightfully thick Greek accent, "How do you like my tattoo? It's fake." The attendant said, "We know, we talk about them all the time." When he told me that story we both laughed. Now he shows me his 'new' tattoos whenever I go to his restaurant.

My sister died
by poppers injust got word that my sister died.
she had surgery for heart valve replacement about 5 weeks ago, and when they opened her up for it they found cancer.
we had an extra special relationship since i was her "birthday present" when she turned 10 in 1951. this is my second sibling to die of cancer in 14 months..

The article quoted says the Interior Ministry of Yemen called threats of Terroistist Plots targeting vital institutions and government buildings as one of the reasons they partnered with the USA on the drone strikes. Also in the northern part of Yemen the muslims are battling it out with each other for control...doesn't sound very democratic to me. I do not sanction drone strikes, but at the same time, the US isn't the only one involved here. Personally, it would be fine to me if the US pulled out of all middle eastern countries and let them kill each other in their fanatizism.
We have enough problems control our own population from killing each other, we should mind our own store first and if there is something left, give it back to the local communities and citizens.

AlphaMan-The governments of the UK and Canada have not asked for the USA for a JOINT mission to conduct warfare on their own people. So your arguement is moot. The Yemeni government cannot control the factions within its own borders, it is working to squelch insurrections and religious violence, muslim against muslim. Pakistan eagerly takes billions of dollars a year from the USA. It would be wonderful to stop drone strikes against innocent civilians and at the same time yank the dollars, taken out of millions of hardworking Americans paychecks, and let that country attempt to feed itself, fend off al-Quaida who has shown what they think of 1/2 of their population like shooting young schoolgirls in the head to shut them up and keep them uneducated, and deal with disasters like earthquakes on their own. Please don't call the USA, we have decided to keep our money home, our volunteers safe and ignore everyone else...The USA would be screamed at if they did that, there is simply no pleasing all the people, all of the time.

This article indicates that this drone attack was a JOINT effort BETWEEN the Yemeni Government AND the USA. JOINT, as in sanctioned, by the government of the people in Yemen. Does this mean the Yemenis hate themselves?

my husband is very witness and if i change it he needs to sign it.

i've been having health problems for the last few years and instead of any help, i'm listed as spiritually weak and of course associations is only my kids and husband.
all the good jw's have moved to other congregations and are doing well.

Angus, Welcome! It can definitely get to the point of as you said, "I just can't do it anymore." It can become so mentally exhausting that the pressure and stress make you mentally suffer...I had so many physical symptoms from the depression of trying to force myself to believe something that was illogical, that it almost ruined my health permanently. It has done the same to many others here. We understand what you are going through.

My brother died yesterday
by satinka in"albert" was 55 years old, and the fifth-born of seven children.
i am the second oldest and babysat him often while he was growing up --- and while i was still at home.. yesterday, albert was out taking his usual morning stroll around his small town, when he collapsed on the sidewalk.
the doctors said it was a heart attack.
