  Really sad that JWs use medical issues as an excuse to refuse blood??

  i cannot get over the amount of arguements we get into about blood with my wife.

  she is medically trained,.. but her thinking is now retarded by the watchtower mentality.

  one thing recently i refused to do lately was print a magazine article for her which was about blood complications this was an article from the new scientist magazine.

One thing recently I refused to do lately was print a magazine article for her which was about blood complications this was an article from The New Scientist Magazine. it was printed in 2008. After showing her the NHS blood collection service site talking about only using mainly parts of blood in treatment I was godsmacked that she didn't believe this was true. I think, since she works for the same orgainisation in the UK as a lowly auxilliary nurse then she has no right or knowledge to comment on thier collection service.

  I got her to show me the passage in the bible which talks about forbidding blood however it is because the soul in contained in the blood that this is forbidden...Is this correct? Then if this is the case why are the JWs using every single excuse under the sun and quoting science to prove thier czse about refusing blood transfusions...

  Panic Attacks

  hi, i was reading on here a while ago that some of you guys and girls suffer from panic attacks.

  how common is this in the jws?

  the wife had a bible study today and i was sort of listening looking for a discussion point.

  You know when I was young we were under constant awareness of a possible nuclear attack. My father was in the forces and we lived right next to the Soviets in East Germany. I was never terrified by prepared to face it happening ,..this lasted well into my thirties.. I havce alway had the equipment for a distaer ready or a Land Rover ready with equipment if something kicks off. If not a Nuclear War then an ecological disaster. I cannot understant the logic in the WT ideals that jehovah ( the bad bread maker as I call it) will make everything allright. That if I was a member would cause me the most grief. Without being prepared with shovels a shelter, equipment I would feel naked.

  What has changed now I am starting to get that "fight or flight" buzz having to face the JWs at any pointy it time...they definitly have caused a reaction like this ands this is pushes me close to an edge for sure. For nearly 3 weeks I have not talked or event thought about the JWs until she went off today to a conference in London I get a phone call from a concerned friend and it all starts all over again!...

  What exactly are men at the back of the hall taking care of?

  once people have come in, and the doorman and the mic men are in place, why are there a few other suits scattered about at the back?

  i saw a guy get up, sit down, get up, sit down, get up and when i looked what he was up to he was reading the noticeboard and looking around, waiting for a bus.

  i figured he wasn't doing much at that point, but anything to not stay seated.

  Eight questions about Nathan Knorr

  i have some questions about nathan knorr, the third president (1942-1977) of the wtbts.

  accurate answers are welcome.. 1) how did it come about that knorr was made president of the wtbts in 1942 after the death of joseph rutherford?

  rutherford as we know was an usurper inheritor of russell's wtbts in late 1916 after russell went to his reward.

  Hi, I was reading on here a while ago that some of you guys and girls suffer from panic attacks. How common is this in the JWs? The wife had a bible study today and I was sort of listening looking for a discussion point. Didn't take long to find one. I see the BS teacher earlier in the afternoon rub her chest like she had indigestion but after out teenage boy came in and had a ding dong in the kitchen with his mum the BS teacher had a full on Panic Attack. My wife is suffering from disaster type dreams involving earthquakes. Is this something my partner may be heading for??

  JWs in the UK diferrent to USA or elsewhere?

  i am in the uk.. i have an ex-jw relative in the usa.

  he says that having lived ib both the uk and the usa that the jws are different from the uk to the usa.. how true could this be?.

  at least int he area i grew up the term 'mother' for the organization is not familiar to me.

  from the outside, the UK one appear to be more liberal. I mean her bible teacher "says" she reads all sorts of books and her daughter is participating in higher education. The mind set is still the same.. Staements like " things are getting worse" is a sure sign that t we are on the JW yellow brick road. All those little things they say , that I have been warned about from US sources are the same. spooky stuff.

  PUNK OF NICE....I thought you lived in New Zealand for some odd reason...
