Hi, Viking. Snow is right: bourbon is a Kentucky product. There is a Bourbon County in that state. Alcohol and tobacco are big industries in Kentucky, home of many fundamentalist Christian groups which forbid their use. Life is funny.

my daughter and son in law have just been dfd for questioning re issues we all know about, molestation, 607/587, ngo, etc.

our son is married to a jw gal.
he's been "working toward" baptism (due to years of prodding by his wife), but we don't know if he is indeed baptized yet or not.. my question is: if our son was in an accident (god forbid) rendering him unconscious, and in need of blood.......could his wife prevent him from having a blood transfusion??
could she prevent the transfusion even if he's not baptized yet??
Ask your son if he has a "blood card." Most JW's carry one in their wallet, and it specifically states that the person who is carrying it is not to have blood.
Can you steal your son's wallet when he's not looking and discard the card? I don't usually advocate this kind of behavior, but desperate situations sometimes warrant desperate action.

Alabamans are just people like any others. I've known several, two of whom were supervisors at work. The female supervisor from Birmingham was a sweetheart. The male supervisor (who claimed his father was the City Clerk of Birmingham, but my internet search did not bear this out) was, I believe, based on a long period of observation and wacko interaction, living a lie and so crazy he could be the subject of intense psychiatric research (he had a Master's in Psychology!).
People in your part of Alabama appear to be some of the kindest, most humble and artistically gifted ever discovered.
And you! Alabama should be proud to call you its daughter.

Jerry Lee Lewis is phenomenal! The rock stars who came later owe him a lot. He was the classic bad boy who exuded charisma and a sense of danger. Of course, I love Elvis, too. Elvis had a boyish sweetness and vulnerability about him, which, I am sure, contributed greatly to his appeal. Chuck Berry rocked! Gotta love that duck walk. My favorite CB song is "Johnny B. Goode."
