I recently added some extra height to the lookout towers on the corners of my property. Also, added more razorwire around the perimeter of the property. Those attack dogs work well, but they eat a lot of food. Also hired extra guards for 24 hour surveilance. Of course I feel safe where I live

Do you feel safe where you live?
by Beans ini was just driving back from the store on a street where a young man was killed a few years back, as he was murdered right on the street i often think of this every time i drive back from the store.
his house was about 100 feet from where his body lie in the street and blocks from my house.. i actually feel safe where i live and do know where to go and not to in toronto but crime happens everywhere no matter where you are, you can live in the quietest neighbourhood and right next door the worst can and has happened.
do you know where to walk at night and where not too in your town?

I don't know about your circumstances much, But I am guessing that you always loved your children and wanted to do what was best for them. Thats about all that matters. I hope your day brightens up.

Truth about new tax plan....
by Xander inhighlight:.
what the president said: "92 million americans will keep an average of $1,083 more of their own money when this tax plan goes through " .
what we found:.

What gets me is the tax system is so difficult, Most people need to pay someone for help( professional, tax software) just to fill out the stinkin forms! And if we make a mistake and pay to little, The IRS can go back at least 3 years and charge us all the interest on it besides. WOW! It would actually pay big for the IRS to sit back and wait to check over the forms, then collect the interest.

whatever happened to?
by RR ini see a lot of jw forums now online, that although they have the "jw" in their domain names are more con watchtower than pro.
i remember when obed started his forum on about.com amd then started his own, then all hell broke loose and apostasy broke out and all his moderators left to start their own forum.
few that are still around today, because big momma said "git off de net" .

RR, I recall a thread that showed a current jw forum. they were so strict on who could join. I joked that I was surprised that they did not ask for a blood sample or hair sample.
It must be extremely difficult to have such a forum. There can be no disagreement. Just society thoughts rehashed all the time.

NWT,and OTHER Translations./ New Offer.
by Blueblades inthe offer for feb.is the new " draw close to god book ",released at the 2002 district convention.the jan.km.
says,"this publication is designed to help people use their own bible to draw close to god.their own bible, not the nwt.. yet the society claims for itself and its translation of the nwt.a peculiar freedom from what they define as "the misleading influence of religious traditions, which have their roots in paganism, they go on to insist that this "influence" has colored the inspired word of god".. so it is necessary for them to set aright the numerous examples of "human traditionalism"that is evidenced in ( all translations,) including your own bible ,from john wycliffe's to the present.your own bible has been interwoven to color the thought in support of a preferred religious view,an inconsistency and unreasonableness have been insinuated into the teachings of the inspired writings.. the endeavor of the new world bible translation committee has been to avoid this snare of religious traditionalism.. now my point of all of this is: how can they indict the great scholars of all translations, and elevate their own nwt.then tell the rank and file to offer the new book in feb.by lyingly telling the public, the householder, that this publication is designed to help you draw close to god by using your own bible ,which is inconsistent and unreasonable among other snares of religious traditionalisms.and not use the nwt which they claim avoids all of this .. so,when they come to your door this feb.to offer you the new book to read with your own bible, you can say "why should i use my own bible, its pagan,i want the nwt.

Good post.
People who may be interested in the witnesses who stop at there door would usually want to use there own bible to see what the real truth is. So this offer would appeal to many. The person finds out later when attending meetings , what an " accurate " translation the NWT is, and would start using it to fit in with the others. I tried to bring my NIV version to the hall ( large leather bound) and got some strange and unapproving looks from people. They never did say anything though. How could they when there is no "rule" against using other translations.
