Sounds like there must be more to your story, because you would not be disfellowshipped for simply fading and not attending meetings. I never heard of resended disfellowshipping before. Maybe some elders who judged you, were ignorant of the procedures and were corrected by an overseer or?

by zugzwang insometime last year, around september or october, i was apparently disfellowshipped.
i say "apparently" because i never heard the announcement.
i faded years ago and haven't been to a meeting in years.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter whether the witnesses are growing in number or not. What matters is whether their teachings are true and from God. Years ago I heard the argument that the witnesses are small because narrow is the road leading to life. The argument is also used to state that the witnesses numbers are growing because it shows that more and more people are finding the true religion.

Laptop Users I need your help
by noni1974 ini'm going to buy my first laptop in the next week or two.i want to know what else i'll end up needing to go online with it at a wifi hotspot?there are a few of them around where i live at coffee shops and things like that.do i need a wireless service provider when i'm at these hot spots??.
also what would you recomend i get for use at home?i have a dsl modem that will allow me to have 4 computers pluged into one modem.i want to be able to use my laptop anywhere in my house.what do i need to reach these goals with a laptop??.
i've heard of wireless cards and wireless routers.but i don't know what they do or if i need them.i've never used a laptop before i have only ever used a desktop..

by Ohio Nana ini have been reading your posts the last couple of weeks and wanted to post and talk to all of you and at last i can.. first i am (or was)a unbaptised publisher but have jw daughter (really into it)and jw granddaughters and df son in law(for smoking).. i studied for 2 yrs and tried field service(hated hated hated it).anyway reading your posts helped me to make the decison that.
i just couldn't go on going to meetings even to be with my grandchildren(who i love dearly)and living a lie.

by serendipity inmy mother retired from her full-time job recently and has started attending meetings again.
she also has plenty of time to think about her wayward children, including me.
one night, we were talking and she asked me, again, why i wasn't going to meetings.

I would say that I certainly would not want to die at Armageddon. I mean who would rather die than live in a "beautiful paradise". I would want to live happy forever.I would say that the problem is, I don't believe the Watchtower teachings are from Jehovah because they have tried to predict an end to the world and failed. They taught a cornerstone teaching in the 1914 generation, that they are abandoning. I was raised as a witness. I still find it hard to deal with the watchtower not being the true religion. But I would rather know the truth than believe something that's not true just because it makes me feel good.

If you go, go early and get a seat in the back. If you sit in the front, everyone will stare at you. If you get there late, then there is only seats in the front. The bad thing is, when you get there early, then everybody feels the need to come over and say something. Everybody stares. Oh yeah. They stare. LOL, I am a little bit wierd I guess.
