everything was great untill about two years ago untill she realized i wasn't a jehovah witness.
i didn't notice it before but now i noticed the next day she began to give me verses about the "truth".
it recently got worse with her religious debates lately i've been able to prove her wrong with most of them.
Something's not right here. How could you be "BBF's" for a year and she not know you aren't a JW?

just found out that the australian governong body member known as geoffrey jackson got engaged to a sister about two weeks ago.
it really shocked me at first but then i remembered how other members of the gb have remarried in the past like daniel sidlik.

more haphazard thougths on the recently concluded elder school..... a big chunk of time was spent on a video which traced a judicial case, all the way from the confession to the elders through the decision to disfellowship the guy.. here is a very brief synopsis of the video:.
tearful late-teen or early-20's publisher confesses to 2 elders that he committed fornication with a "worldly girl" who is now preganant and wants to marry him.
the elders give him some "homework" to do prior to his judcial committee - read psalm 51 and an old wt article.

as we grow older and have more life experience we have an advantage in looking at our life as a whole.. we can see things from more than one perspective.
we can be wiser as our emotions cool.
hindsight gives us the power to judge outcomes.. for example, i was thinking about a 20 year chunk of my life.
I agree that "Do-overs" are tricky for precisely the reasons you mentioned: If we didn't do one particular thing that had bad results, then we also wouldn't have a lot of the good things that came about as a result of that same decision or action.
That being said, I do have one and only one: I would not have "confessed" to the elders seeking their "help."
Lesson learned: The elders are NOT your friend!
