  Lozhasleft: we all had to sit quietly and respectfully through all the baptisms. Only when the last one was done and the clapping over could we get on with lunch.

  Slidin Fast: Our CA for years has held everyone in their seats until the end of the baptism, only then were the crowd released for lunch. We are not allowed to eat in our seats

  Where are you guys? My friend, wha happened?, and I are both from the great state of Southern California.

  Of course, we all think that however things are done where ever WE are is how they are/should be done everywhere. Not that these are Big Deals, but it does prove that JWs are NOT as unified as they'd like us to believe.

  From what I understand, elders in northern Europe often have beards ... the bastards! I always wanted to have one. (I've had one since leaving, several in fact! But it would have been nice to have had a beard before my hair all turned grey.)

  That's no change. Where did they tell people to sit during the baptism? No DC or CA I've ever been at.

  BTW, I've and supervised the baptisms at countless CA and given the baptism talk as well.

  The only "proof" that the Govening Body of Jehovah's Witnesses is the "faithful and discreet slave" is their own assertion.

  Why should we accept what they say? Why should we believe them? Give me a reason and it better be good, really good!

  Since they are the ones making this very significant claim, the burden of proof is on them to provide evidence to support it.

  It's not like they're saying, "I'm a poolman." They're claiming to be God's sole channel of communication on Earth, His spirit-directed organization apart from which no salvation can come! This is a big deal, in fact it's a Really Big Deal!

  Seriously, if Jesus Christ actually picked a person or group of people to represent him, the evidence of such choosing should be obvious, undeniable, unequivocal and abundant. It is not.

  BTW, merely stating, "Evidently, ..." in a sentence does NOT constitute proof. It's necessary to provide some actual evidence. Where is it? I'm waiting ... I've been waiting since the late '70's when I first began associating with JWs. I still haven't seen it.

This begs the question, who really IS the "faithful and discreet slave"? Again, the WT publications are self-referential in claiming they are. Where is the independently varifiable proof? ....

  Wow, great work Atlantis and your sources on the inside.

  I was surprised to read that this is coming straight out of Bethel.

  Can you let them know that there is a life, a REAL life, waiting for them out here?

  It must be scary for them, feeling trapped and believing there is nowhere for them to go, but that's not true. That is the "truth" the WT wants them to believe.

  Every single one of us that has left has discovered a powerful truth: there is life after WT. You will make new friends that love you for WHO you are not WHAT you (pretend to) believe.

  In the meantime, keep up the good work. It means a lot!

  dear friends:.we are under attack by email hijacking and someone is using our email address to send out spam.

  it has to be because of the confidential documents that were going out in the emails.

  i will have to discontinue the emails and go back to posting the documents on jwn..this is an example of just how badly somone wants to keep these documents out of the public eye.

  just discovered that the 'new light' regarding the the identity of the 'slave' is not so new.

  in the brochure "who are doing jehovah's will today?

  ", (brought out months before the annual meeting) it clearly states in the first paragraph in section 19 that "jesus would appoint the slave - during the time of the end!!

  Good question!

  The first step in dealing with a phobia is recognizing it for what it is: "... an intense fear of something that, in reality, poses little or no actual danger."

  Next is to prepare for it. Realizing the source/origin of the phobia is key.

  You may possibly have a phobic reaction. This could include things like sweaty palms, dry mouth, blurred vision, dizziness, racing heart, difficulty breathing.

  A phobia is "... an intense fear of something that, in reality, poses little or no actual danger."

  If you have them remember that it is because this is because of a carefully indoctrinated phobia which you have as a result of years of programming by WTBTS mind-control via their manipulative propaganda. It is a form of Emotional Control.
