  WBTS NULLIFY ones baptisim

  have you ever heard that the wbts in rare cases nullify ones baptisim?.

  in france, a jw who was dying in his bed with aids, confessed to the elders, his homosexual relations.

  the elders not knowing what to do, contucted the bethel of france.

  That is very interesting.

  I actually tried to have that done after I disassociated myself. I was having an awful time with the shunning thing and I tried to get the WTBTS to nullify my baptism -- because I was just a kid and did it intentionally with the thought of pleasing my parents - nothing more nothing less.

  Hence if my baptism was nullified - I would not be considered a real JW - hence the DA was redundant - and my status would just be that of a non-Witness (worldly) person. No shunning required.

  I never heard back from my letter.

  with the 4th anniversary of my parents death looming and the anniversary of their last wedding anniversary party where my family was together and happy for the last time just being past ....i was feeling kind of depressed and wanted to reach out to what family i have left.

  i sat there and debated in my mind if i should do it...should i try and reach out to my sister..see if i could reach her across the barrier of the jw religion.

  should i try to remind her that we are sisters...we were sisters before we became jws and we will always be sisters.

  Don't worry...it will get better. Even though it is probably not your nature... to be even the least bit egotistical...try to remember that it is definately your sisters' loss. We are good people and do not need, never did need, this organization to define us.

  Do you still think like a witness.

  one of my customers asked me today whether i celebrate christmas and birthdays almost automaticly i was about to say no.. then i realised i'm not a witness anymore.. i didn't really want to go into a conversaion so i just said those things didn't bother me.. so what things are here stuck in our minds like that ,that are hard to get rid of?.

  do you sill have a feeling arrmagddon might come , even though you don't mentally bleive it ,does it still effect you?.

  have you realised yet that you are not going to live forever and in fact you will die?.

  I can totally relate to your post Lady Lee. I find that I don't know "how" to celebrate stuff. Like I was so pleased with myself for making Happy Birthday phone calls....didn't realize I could like -- send a card--make a cake--buy a present....

  what a idiot!!

  I am proud to say I am making some progress albeit slow...but trying...I suppose it doesn't help that Muslims only have Ramadan and their Eids to celebrate...but I don't practice that too well either...

  Thanks for sharing your thoughts as always...sometimes this board is my best touch with reality...and whether I am normal or not!!

  even after a bit of time has gone by - do lyrics to "kingdom melodies" still drift in anyone's head?.

  it is over 6 years now -- yesterday and even still now - for whatever reason the song with the lyrics "the way of the truth is the best way of living" -- just that line kept going through my head!

  it's driving me crazy!.

  Past my prime and now I'm tired

  ok, so i became a jw when i was in my mid 20's.

  i was in my prime.. i was so busy being a witness, taking in the truth, pioneering bla bla bla that i feel like i've missed out on life totally.

  now i'm pushing 40 and i'm tired.
