i am just thinking if there could ever be anything that would raise consciousness in the minds of millions of jws that this a completely hoax.
what could spark millions of them at once, any thoughts?..
Subconsciencely at least, the internet is still a new & wild place for anyone who wasn't born with it (25 & older?). Eventually the 'net will simply be what the human race does. A new JW study will be told, "Now, here are your approved websites" and they'll go, "Are you nuts?"
Anyone who types "Jehovah's Witness" in a Google box will know what it is in 5 minutes.

I agree Billy. They're shooting themselves in the foot. It's sad and ugly to watch but part of me wants to say, "Keep shooting!" How long until that "marked" kid is joining us here?

I was meeting with some JWs (actually trying to get them out) and I wanted to see if they would lie to me so I asked, "Will the JW be the only ones spared at Agdn?" They said, "No. We're not so bold as to think we're the only one's who have it right. We think there are some other groups that probably have it right also."
Question answered: Yes, they will lie to me.
i'm trying to get my head around a basic overview of how the jehovah's witnesses understand the narrative flow of scripture and their own history within that.
to me this provides a good general framework from which most of their theology flows.
this is a brief sketch that i have done off the top of my head.

i just want to know out of interest how many here still believe in god and christ and that the bible is god's word.
my faith in the wts is gone but i still love god and his son.
i've noticed that many here have lost their faith in god as well as the wts.

I once read, "No one has ever read the Bible, come to the JW set of doctrines, and then set out to find a group that shares those beliefs." This is true because it is impossible to come to the JW set of doctrines by reading the Bible alone.

Look at pollution. In the 70's virtually every body of water along the eastern seaboard was very contaminated. Now you can swim in almost all of them. I also remember trash lining the roads everywhere because we all treated the world like a trash dump. Remember the deadly hole in the ozone layer? Closed up! Oh ya, and that country that used to have "whites only" water fountains now has a black president.
i have been hitting a brick wall trying to pry my boyfriend away from this stuff.
it just makes me cry that it's so obvious to me how wrong it is, and he's not even batting an eyelash.
he knows about all of the scandals, all of the false prophecies, the coverup of sexual predators, that elders tell abuse victims to stay with their spouses, that they dishonestly use sources, and he just doesn't care.

I agree with others, since he's dating you AND he's been to your church it doesn't seem like his actions are matching his rhetoric.
