Where in europe has the cheapest real estate?
by avishai ini guess i should say where in europe that is relatively nice?
-

If you know of a place that is relatively cheap to buy property it's best to keep it quiet. Otherwise the greedy Estate Agents will be there pushing up the prices as they have done everywhere else!

I have recently bottled 5 gallons of apple wine *hic*
Making wine is straightforward, get yourself a copy of C. J. J. Berry - First Steps In Winemaking. It's a great book to get you started. -

Are the witnesses tight?
by stillajwexelder inare jehovah?s witnesses tight?
a presiding overseer stated that from the platform in the last 18 months.
there was a thread recently where one poster stated that at district conventions pioneers actually gave literature as a tip to the waitress at a place where they were dining -- no doubt counting their time also.

A question for those who do NOT live in the United States
by logansrun ini've heard it over and over again in conversations about the us -- "what other country would you rather live in?
" the question is stated in such a fashion as to say that nothing is better than living in the good 'ol us of a.
"what, are you stupid?

Though I live in the UK I like to think of myself as a European. I have very close European roots (let's be honest, all Brits are of European descent if they look back far enough) so perhaps that is why I feel this way. I love living in the UK (it's so green) but I would be happy living somewhere else in Europe, somewhere a little warmer perhaps.
I would very much like to visit the US, there are some places I'd love to see, but as for living there I think I will pass for now. -

Do You Consider The Ones You Left Behind In The Organization as Bro/Sis?
by AwakenedAndFree indo you consider the ones you left behind in the organization as brothers and sisters?.
the ones who don't shun me are my brothers and sisters!
i have a friend/sister who is still in the organization.

A friend who drops you like a hot spud when you need them the most, who wants a friend like that? JW's rarely make real friends, they are always too busy watching their backs. Total reliance and compliance with the organisation is all that matters. I wouldn't call any of the JW's I knew friends and certainly not brother or sister.

Organized Dub Rave Parties...Easy sex optional!
by yxl1 inmy wife had a long drive home from north yorkshire with her younger brother (who is a dub) last night.
she was asking him questions about his social life and was very surprised at his response.
apparently, each week in london some brothers organize raves in various hired nightclubs.

I know some of the dubs who used to attend these kind of things a few years ago. They are all respectable married couples now who seem to have forgotten exactly what they did. In my cong there was a mass dfing when one sister got a guilty conscience and dropped all her fellow 'orgy' attenders in it. :)

Drink up boys and girls... it's good for you! :D
by Elsewhere inguinness good for you - official
the old advertising slogan "guinness is good for you" may be true after all, according to researchers.
a pint of the black stuff a day may work as well as an aspirin to prevent heart clots that raise the risk of heart attacks.

I love Guinness, the only 'problem' I find with it is that the more I drink the more thirsty I become.

Should Bush Make His STATE Visit To The UK Next Week?
by Englishman innote that i'm talking about a state visit, not your run-of-the-mill political scenario.. state visits from visiting presidents, kings and queens involve open-top parades through pall mall next to queen lizzie in an open landau, several nights in the best suite at buckingham palace, soldiers and guardsmen in full regalia and banquets galore until the excellent food pops out your ears.
that's a state visit.
i don't think that we've had a full state visit from a us president since jfk.. now, our good friend george dubya is expected for a state visit next week.

I wonder if he will bring his bestest buddies, the Bin Ladens, for a trip to the UK? :)
