  so- here's some good news, and some bad news.. bad news first.. my alternator is dead.. good news.. no service for at least a week.

  bad news.. had "dates and such" i had to cancel.

  Did anyone find the DC encouraging?

  i remember going to the assemblies and conventions and feeling encouraged by the information that was presented.

  in hindsight, i may have just felt that way because that's how you were supposed to feel.

  i was a 100% brainwashed fool for many years, if the gb said it, i did, i felt it and i believed it .

  The best part of the DC was the after convention cleanup in the evening.
  We used to have a great time shipping all the stuff out, there used to be plenty of food and some real laughs.
  Then the Society did one of their rationalisation programmes, that and a cocky jumped up CO killed all the fun.
  As for the DC itself, mostly an endurance test listening to the same old things rehashed every year.

  Cyclists?

  are there any other people here who are into bicycling or handcycling?.

  last year, my husband got a handcycle (he can't use a bicycle due to handicap) and i got a new bicycle and we have been enjoying cycling.

  last september, we went on our first cycling tour and did the 20 mile.

  i have been an ntl customer since 9th july 2001.

  my initial installation was cancelled without warning, resulting in my spending an entire saturday sitting on my fat arse waiting for your technician to arrive.

  i understand from someone that they were visited by jws a few years ago.. the lady said that in a paradise earth, they would be lions walking all over her garden(something like that).

  she replied `what a lot of rubbish' or something like that.. were there similiar experiences when you were on the doors?
