ok...i think it's long overdue, don't you agree?
our beloved on-line grandmother (adopted by some of us) deserves a little on-line appreciation.
mouthy: (grace) this thread will be one dedicated to you.
((((((((mouthy)))))) You are a dear lady! Some people have a national holiday named after them. You get a whole weekend. I love it!!!

as many know, witchywoman came to visit me this past week and returned home today.
all in all, it was the most wonderful 4 days we have both spent in a very long time.
having her with me was very comfortable and felt so natural.. i cooked meals everyday, to impress her of some of my other talents, of course .
((((((Lew & Anita)))))
I am soooo happy for the two of you. Yes, we were all watching for updates. I knew when Lew checked in for only a few minutes over the weekend.... well it meant all was good. Great Pics!!!!

i have never seen a broadway show in person, but i have it on my to do list before i die..... of course there are some local shows that are being done that i want to take my children to see.
i think it will be alot of fun, especially for my daughter who adores the musical,,,,,,,cats.........we rented the video of the musical cats, and i have watched most of it.
as a jw i never pursued my interest in the arts, and i let that part of me die.
I loved Phantom of the Opera too.The only problem was:everytime I looked at the toy monkey that would clash the cymbals I would go into bouts of hysterics (laughter)
if you went to someones house as a guest and they asked you to take your shoes off..would you?..would you be offended?....
does anyone know if this is proper etiquette?.
didn't know where else to post this........ my daughter was invited to a neighbors house and they requested people remove their shoes!...she never had anyone ask her that before.
I don't mind. Makes me glad that mom reminded us to wear clean socks & underwear (no holes). Thanks Mom!
And white carpets? So 70's porn!
oooooo now I must order new white carpet.
if htere were anything i ever wanted it was to be like all the other kids i saw in my life...free to accept gifts, love and unconditional reasoning from adults...even as an adult this is all i rarely ask for...where is your family when it would be nice to have them?
would something please just take me home?.
sincerely,.
((((((valis))))))) &((((((((others who have lost their family members)))))))
It makes me glad to be free of the mentality of "you must believe as I do or else" I regret having hurt anyone else with this type of thinking I once held. I was blinded by false reasoning because I trusted my life to a cult. What is really sad is this type of training/brainwashing is what holds people to it's membership, especially those who have many family ties that are "believers". If you leave you are alienated. It is called a protection when in fact it is punishment pure and simple. To go back is usually for the wrong reason, not because what they teach is right, but because of an undying need to love and be loved by your own family. Another sad result is that we learn to put up walls in order to make an attempt to block the chance of being hurt any more. Sometimes it seems easier to keep that barrier and stay in our safe place. I hope that one day I can see past that wall.

how do you feel, now that you are out of the jw's?.
does the watchtower society want to make it feel worse than it actually is?
would you say that the scare of being df'd was worse than the real thing?.
When I was df'd I missed my mother, sister, and brother who were still in. I still saw it as the troof and sought reinstatement. After reinstatement I tried to continue but it just wasn't working for me. It was a fade out from there. My sister started questioning before I did and she quit altogether. She respectfully waited for me to realize there were problems within the org. and then gave me a few things to look into on my own. I have two other brothers who have been out for years. My mother recently passed away that just leaves one brother in. I feel sorry for him because he must now feel like the odd one out. I call him if I don't hear from him. (I love him unconditionally)
we're 40 today!
to mark the occasion, we have a "special request" topic for this weekend's poll.
it comes from onacruse.
9. Thank them for their loving concern. (must include eyeroll)
then
8. Ask them "Why are you here?"
my usename guest 77 doesn't appear as the postee, but my password does, so don't get confused, either its murphy's law at play or demons.
does anyone watch court tv?
yesterday they had two stories of witnesses killing family members all because of this shunning practice.
I can just hear the mentality now: they no longer had Jah's protection, they were then under Satan's influence. Thus since they were under Satan's influence the jw's are still the only one with jah's blessings and protection.
.
i don't know if anybody has noticed yet, but today, i folded in the cover of the "draw close to jehovah" book and i noticed the bible turns into a pyramid, the clouds turn into a masonic "s" on top of that pyramid and "jehovah" becomes "jah".. freaky....
it would take a considerable amount of time to craft an image deliberately so that it does what you're saying it does.
Mad Magazine does it all the time (back cover)
