LMAO. Yes, it is a miracle that a printing company developed a system to print in foreign languages more efficiently. SMH.

No more doubts for me! Good-bye JWN! We have THE TRUTH!
by DATA-DOG ini could go on and on about my personal journey over the last 2 years or so, but i don't need to.
everything i needed to hear to finally lay my doubts to rest happened on one meeting night.
it could only be divine providence.

JW CHILDREN GET PRESENTS ALL THROUGH THE YEAR. REALLY?????
by NAVYTOWN inis it really true that jw children get gifts 'all through the year', not just for christmas and birthdays like non- jw kids?
as stingy as most jws are, i find that very hard to believe.
plus the childhood magic of christmas and birthdays is totally absent in jw households.

We always got toys, and other gifts, all year long. We had a weekly family bible study and read the daily text(though I'm not sure it was called that back then) in the morning. Guess we were the odd JW family. Overall, I never considered the life to be all that bad as a kid. I just could never reaaly bring myself to believe in it all.

Hubby went out in service today.
by KariOtt ini can't believe hubby and sis in law actually went out in service today.
when he left this morrning i reminded him to inform those who didn't slam their doors on them that if they join your cult that this will be the last christmas, holiday and birthday they will be allowed to celebrate.
i thought it very inapproiate going out today to knock on doors trying to get converts..

I think you should share with him what a horrible example he was for the Org today. He is directly going against their stated stance on X-mas on JW.org. Making liars out of the GB. Shame on him. If knocking on the doors of people celebrating their holiday isn't "interfering in the celebrations of others", I don't know what is.
"Although we choose not to celebrate Christmas ourselves, we respect each person’s right to decide for himself in this matter. We do not interfere in the Christmas celebrations of others." http://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/why-not-celebrate-christmas/

Christmas is WRONG!
by thesaint inyou all should be ashamed of your egotistical selves.
how can you leave god's organization to celebrate the work of satan the devil?
it just goes to show you how jehovah's christian witnesses are correct about how persons will leave the truth for their own selfish desires.. first off, christmas is a pagan holiday and it proves no spirit with the almighty jehovah and his son, the christ.

"Every year the writing of the WT and 'books' gets more simple minded, closed minded and insipid."
Everytime I pick up a Watchtower or an Awake these days I feel as if I'm reading something meant for a third grader. They are written in very much the same style as the "My Book of Bible Stories" of old.

Totally agreed Pistoff. The responsibility ultimately lies with the FDS. These SOB's need to step up and take some responsibility for the lives they have led to desperation. They just made hundreds of millions for the org off investments originally provided by contributions on these people's backs. Time to give some back.

Good luck with that. I'm sure it's tough to be in a position where you feel like you should be helping people, but half the time the approved methods and teachings of what is helpful is actually quite the opposite.

I understand where you're coming from, but the organization for a century has been telling people there is no need for to take such precautions, and even, at times, underhandedly suggested that doing so shows a lack of faith. My family has been in "the spoof" on both sides, since the early 1900's. I have heard they have begun to change their stance on this issue these days, but it's kind of late for those who are already there. Sure, it's always a personal decision to decide whether or not to follow the advice of the organization. however this is the organization you choose to be a leader within. You lead others to believe that they are God's sole channel of communication on earth. Therfore, you can call it a lack of personal reponsibility all you want, but it seems to me a lack of personal responsibility on your own part to not step up and take care of those whom your organization misled.

Thanks Billy, I apologize if my language offended you TheDog1. I realize i shouldn't hold your cult mentality against you, but it's hard when it's men who hold the same position as yourself put people in these situationsThis little scenario hits right at home for me. My grandmother has been a fulltime/special pioneer for the last 50 years of her life. Never worked a day in her life. She lost her home when my grandfather died. She recieves a small amount of social security for him, but not for herself since she never worked. Most of her kids refuse to give her money due to her treatment of them and/or her refusal to not give a portion of that money to the WBTS. Her other children/ grandchildren are witnesses and can barely afford to take care of themselves. Basically, another one of her grandchildren and I give her as much as we can and that's what she survives off of. She gave her entire life to this line of BS, and what does she get for it? Jack shit in one hand and the delusion of everlasting life for her service to "the spoof" in the other.
