I may or may not download it in a couple days, and give it a looksy... Should be cool on the projector and surround sound. It'll probably be lacking in the storyline and authenticity(whatever that means in this case), but the special effects should make up for it.

What was the most rebellious thing you did while you were a devout jw?
by DuvanMuvan ini was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.
well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.
i'll start it off.

I was never really a JW. Born and raised in the household of an elder, but I never made it any further than giving talks in the school. Regardless, telling my dad I didn't think God existed. I don't really think there's much worse you can do to a believer who loves you than that. It's all perspective. What you see when you're staring through the looking glass.....

The Watchtower is under siege from inside and outside
by suavojr inthat is the reason the watchtower leaders are desperately trying to protect their indoctrinated supporters from being influenced by the critics.. it will get harder and harder to recruit in countries where the internet is easily accessible...the watchtower has no control over the public like it does the indoctrinated jws.
..any interested person can very easily google and learn the truth about the watchtower cult before a 'return visit' can be made.
although most jws would be afraid to go into 'apostate ' sites, more and more are waking up to the truth about the watchtower , their interest triggered by different reasons such as the child abuse cover up, the constantly changing doctrines,the downsizing etc.

There's a sucker born everyday. Their pool is still large enough to drown in. They've survived this long. I don't see that changing. They're fairly adept at evolving.

I have an honest question!
by FL_Panthers init's with regards to disfellowshipping.. is disfellowshipping a legal procedure?
like is there something i can use to prevent this from happening to me if it does happen.. no jokes about me being a bad little boy.
i need honest answers to this.

Yeah, the friends I have who were fooled enough to take the dunk, but never got DF'd after leaving the troof moved. Those who were most successful moved to another state or country. It's very difficult to fade while still living in your congregations territory. Just get the hell out of Dodge man.

Sounds about right. 100 person congregation. 10-12 regular pioneers. I don't know the official numbers. Should be fairly easy to figure out for someone who is not feeling full, a little buzzed and a little lazy. Just check out the newest yearbook and do the math.

I don't believe the JWs will ever change and say the 144,000 is "symbolic"
by booker-t init will never happen.
because that will definitely be the "final nail" in their coffin.
jws will not stand for it any longer.

They won't have a choice. In a decade or two when people start figuring out that many more JW's have partaken than 144k it will become too big of a farce to not change their dogma. The numbers of those who partake continually gou up every year.

Any active jws, without using the phrase "God must have..." Can you prove that Noah's ark actually happened
by DuvanMuvan ini have a number of problems with the noah's ark story that i could never find the answer to in the bible and so i thought i could ask here:.
1.how did noah get animals that are indigenous to areas he could not get to (e,g penguins, koalas, kangaroos, moose etc) .
2.the flood supposedly happened around 4000 years ago but there is evidence of civilisation dating back a lot further.

Like I said before. I don't think there's much of any reason for a JW to respond to this post. You're asking them to explain what they believe is an act of God without the core of their argument. This being that the flood and the gathering of the animals was an act of God. "God must have" is a must have for them.
