  ok so i hear from my bro, that he hears the fbi is saying somthing might happen on the 22nd.

  the other day there were several low flying planes around the nuclear station in our area.

  they were unknown, and there was not to be any schedualed flights at the time in the area.

  the elusive brother some and the watchtower society.. in brooklyn , they have for years been bothered by a shady and very mystical brother.

  they usually call him some.

  we receive constant reassurances from the watchtower that what is printed in the literature is the truth.

  i have been an inactive person for five years.

  i am revolted by "the good old boy's club, counting time, endless meeting attendance and being introduced as "one of our fine elder's wives" etcetera...i've read and been liberated by the crisis of conscience book and realize the smarminess that is characteristic of the "organization.

  How exactly do you think that people are going to make the leap from radical extremist Muslims that even their own religion condemns, to banning all religions? The idea is ludicrous. I just don't understand the mindset of the witnesses that see this as the road to banning religions.

  i spent a couple of hours today with jw relatives and of coarse the usual subjects came up.

  based on our conversation and after leaving, a couple of the old questions came to mind.

  i'm curious about the rest of the boards thoughts.. now this may be conjecture but what if: god made it known,in no uncertain terms, that h/she exists and is finally going to put an end to all the evil in the world.

  perhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.

  as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.

  since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

  we're approaching 3,000 registered posters on this board.

  when i 'signed up' some 8 months ago there were around 500. so simon has welcomed 2,500 new arrivals during that time.

  From the Toronto Sun. It's not really regarded as a "serious" newspaper but it has a good sports section so if I see it lying around I'll read it :P Saw the article and it struck me as pretty extreme. Just wanted some reactions. Didn't think I had to but just to clarify these aren't my views.
