Are you doubting?
by YoYoMama injames 1:5-8.
"so, if any one of you is lacking in wisdom, let him keep on asking god, for he gives generously to all and without reproaching; and it will be given him.
but let him keep on asking in faith, not doubting at all, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind and blown about.

What will happen to the children?
by YoYoMama incheck out this news story: http://web.star-telegram.com/content/fortworth/2001/12/21/foreign/fw030707-1221-xa036-terror.htm.
many question jehovah on what will happen with the children during armageddon.
i don't know that answer entirely so i'll wait and see what happens.

Why should he do something 'today' now that he's ignored the children's pain for 1,000s of years?
Or is this the same 'today' (or should you have said 'real soon now') as the 'today' in Russel's time (1879/1914/1915), or Rutherford's time (1925/1940), or Franz's (1975/1984/2000)?
If Jehovah can/will bring all those people back, perhaps the wisest thing for humanity to do would be to nuke themselves out of existence, then god can step in, fix the earth and resurrect everyone?

See yoyo, like a typical JW (yes I'm sterotyping), ignores the pain and crisis you are going through and goes straight for the gossip. Probably wishes he could hear all the sordid, juicy details of whatever 'crime' it is they think you commited. Nothing feeds a JW like gossiping about other - they love to 'know the dirt'.

At Which Table Are You Feeding?
by YoYoMama inat which table are you feeding?.
you cannot be partaking of the table of jehovah and the table of demons.1 corinthians 10:21.. these inspired words of the apostle paul show that two figurative tables are set before mankind.
each table is identified by the kind of symbolic food placed upon it, and all of us are eating at one or the other.

We read that drivel years ago when the WTBTS spewed it out in the WT rag.
FWIW, the demons prepare the tastiest sirloin steak you'd ever taste. With a side of fresh veggies and a loaded potato. Mmmmm goood.

Well then you can shut up and go away because we've already heard everything the 'scriptures' have to say.

I guess we're just stupid then, so enlighten us oh master of the bible, what should we learn from David?
I was walking on top of my house yesterday, and I happened to cast my gaze upon the neighbor's wife bathing. Instead of looking away I noticed how attractive she was. Perhaps I plant some crack in her husband's car and call the cops on him to get him out of the way. Now, hmmmmm, what would David do ....

For once Erich has a very valid point.
You will learn what real unconditional love is, who your true friend are. Sad to say most JW will fail miserably in this, and tow the party line when/if you are DF'ed by ceasing to acknowledge you exist.
Stick around here, you will find people who have lived through some similar tough times. Many/most have come out better in the end for it.
If you carry away one thought, remember this, that there is WAY more to life than what you have been taught as a JW. Live and learn!

open marriages, anyone have experience?
by Pierced Angel inwell, my husband found out about my affair (yes, i gave in to the temptation with the soccer player and while it was fantastic, it's over now) and it's been a devestating time, we almost got divorced, but we're working through it.
i knew telling friends and this board wasn't going to help me fight his romantic advances, but i tried.
it was a one time thing that would have continued, but i wasn't too careful about the clues (guilty conscience i think).
