  aw, too bad I skipped the DC, again. Sounds like it would have almost been entertaining with a some popcorn and candy. There are plenty of stumbling rocks take your pick, sexy egyptians, using the word sex a lot to an audience of too young children...cough false doctrines cough.

  Are angels just lazy and perverted?

  reason i ask is we have seen 2 threads this week about angels:.

  1. the angels direct judicial committees; when someone is disfellowshipped, the angels are behind it.. so i am wondering why the angels can't seem to identify the pedophiles that are in the congregation, and when a case does come to light, as they did in california over and over, they can't seem to decide that the pedophile should be kicked out?.

  do angels like child rapists?

  big part of the district conventions this year, more than any other.. just curious what your thoughts are..

  The people delivering the "symposium" talks at the conventions are all reading from prepared manuscripts.

  They are NOT "experts" presenting material that they are contributing.

  But they ARE experts, experts on reading manuscripts and cheesy hand gestures. We all love overzealous hand gestures...

  NEW RUMOR: WT ALLOWS BIRTHDAYS

  i've just read at a spanish forum for ex-jw that the wt has cooked a new light article series about social celebrations, including birthdays and aniversaries.

  according to a member of this forum 'in short' the wt will let witnesses to decide by 'their bible trained conscience' either they celebrate birthdays or not.

  is this rumor based in some real facts or it's just bullshit?.

  just out of idle curiosity i typed ''obey the governing body'' into the only cdubrom i could get my paws on, 2009 and found this piece of 'mind cleansing' from wt54 9/1 pg 538. impatience leading to presumption.

  13 in recognizing the theocratic organization one must not fail to obey the advice: wait for jehovah, and keep his way.

  The sad part most will read this article and STILL look down on themselves for not "obeying" correctly.

  It doesn't take much, simply reading these articles just as they are, word for word is so alarming.

  How do i overcome this guilt and fear?

  ive recently decided not to be a witness anymore and at the age of 28 was still so afraid to tell my parents.

  the truth is their life and knew i would hurt them.

  ive had such a battle with the elders and because my dad is an elder its even worse.

  I am so grateful this site exists. I have been inactive for almost 4 years now, but still live in fear and guilt. So much, that I even felt guilty for going to "apostate" sites. Even though for years I knew a lot of the teachings/doctrines did not add up.

  It's nice to have all these resources. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted.

  for 5 + years I worked in accounting (Zzz). Now in the mortgage industry (ahaha, we'll see for how long).

  My twenties are ending and I really, really, need to go back to school. Sadly, I'm intimidated by the concept of being the older girl in class.

  CO begging for more MS's

  the co is at my husbands hall this week so i tied in to the meeting he was going on and on about how there are 140 elders in the circuit and only 80 something ms's.

  of the elders 25 are over 75 years old.

  of the ms's it was about 20 are over 75 years old.

  It is so obvious they are desperate. My 78 year father (who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s over 6 years ago) was appointed elder over a month ago. Scary, but mostly sad.
