almost unbelevebel difficult.. i dont want to defend abusers, fare from that, i hate them,and think the best is to take ther balls away, but i think it is important that this not turns out to be a witchunt on men, like it was inn in sweden in the some time ago, some swedeish famus writer say this is the moderm times witchunt.. in 1600 children was turnig inn ther mothers and say they was witch, and they was burnd , who can go against children.. here some social educated peopel find when they ask children, that if they think wery carefull, they must remeber that some have abuse them when they was littel children, we have also some case where fadher was realesd from prison after the children confesd that they was lying.. so this writer say that men is modern times witch, if you understan what i meen.. intresting thaught on a very difficult issu, but i think it is easy that this thing can turn out to be a hunt .. wher even some innocent is condemd.

There is a vast difference between Unsubstantiated Reports and False Reports . If you remember in the recent Samantha Runnion murder, Mr. Alvia was previously accused but not convicted of abusing two other girls. Unsubstantiated does not mean innocent.

i've been posting for a little over a month and i honestly feel that my transition from "nominal jw" into the "real world" would not have been as smooth (or fun) were it not for this forum!

i clicked on the tiny, credit card logo on the top right corner and made a small contribution to help our friend simon with the monthly maintenance of this forum.

i will try to remember to contribute something every moth at least, as my circumstances allow.

This is the same thing that happened in our congregation in Texas, so at least the WTBS is consistent on a Worldwide basis.

The jury convicted the Pedophile and he was incarcerated, upon his release (he served the full term) he chose to return to the congregation of his victim. We couldn't get the BOE to respond to this situation in anyway. Why?

As Paul Giles, from the UK Bethel has stated to the press, the congregation DID NOT view a molester as guilty if he was not convicted by TWO WITNESSES.

The Texas Pedophile was convicted on his own confession (to the court not to the elders) , plus results of a rape test, plus the little girl's testimony.......but was still viewed as innocent in the congregation.

This is the same situation with men like BERRY, BELIZE, PANDELLA, etc and this explains why the congregation members are still supporting them. However, most members of the Rank & File are simply trusting in their elders for the TRUTH regarding the conviction and do not have a clue to the actual circumstances.

rodney stark was featured briefly in the short watchtower video exposing the benificial nature of "disfellowshipping" (which is a made up word that does not appear in the bible!).

i found a 1997 paper that he wrote with larry iannaccone entitled, "why the jehovah's witnesses grow so rapidly.

a theoretical application" and which was published in the journal of contemporary religion.

Mr Starck is not only the " Video News Release" Expert, he is undoubtly a compensated endorser.

I suppose there is no way to find out the amount of the compensation when dealing with a regilious entity.

What would you do if religion collapsed?

at this point in my life i feel very confident that leaving the jws was the best thing for me.

however, 25 years of brainwashing goes a long way.

(for arguments sake) if religion collapsed today, would you feel you made a mistake in leaving the wbts?

We send the GB letters, they have the some flunky read them, but at least they get a count .

We send the press letters a few get published maybe another story will make the national media .

We follow the money .........how much money comes from Corporate Sponsors?

I've always heard Hoover, Mars bars, maybe Rugdoctor? Who else? I checked Hoover, the original corporation, has sold. Can we compile a list of Corporate Sponsors and send letters?

I am sitting in front of this computer today (and not at a Kingdom Hall) because of another beautiful little four year old girl.

Terrible things did happen but today she is six and happy and healthy in every way. She will be fine because the situation was handled correctly and because of the strength of her mother. Those websites list the worst case scenario's . . . . be determined that you will beat the odds, that your daughter will not suffer any dire outcome. My friend, Lorraine, made it true for her daughter. It will be true for you, too, you are the kind of mother that will make it true.

Sometimes I read posts on this site that break my heart. Yours is one of those. I wondered who you were and so I went back and read your threads, especially one from May with a list of what you had been through this last year. You have been through so much,

You are very strong and if you say it is bad now, then I believe you. If you say this is a terrible thing that has happened...... it must be true.

What can we say to help you, what can we do? We are only your invisible friends but we care about you.

How much can the human mind stand? I don't know but I have been reading books about Women who came west in covered wagons. Our ancestors were strong beyond what we can even imagine in our day and time. Sometime I think about what my ancestors endured to live and I am in awe. Our times are different but maybe we can also find the strength to endure for another generation and especially for your daughter. No one will ever love her as you do.
