This is a symptom of the insanity induced in people by The Watchtower. Next year he will probably deny he said it.
Jehovah's Witnesses yearn for Armageddon the way an alcoholic yearns for his next drink.
Armageddon will be the event that frees them from all worldly cares and proves that THEY were right and everyone else was wrong.
The leadership of the WTB&TS has perfected the art of leading people on a few days, a few weeks, a few months at a time until the convert's entire life has been given away in hope of a Great Heaven-Sent Banquet that never arrives.
One quirk of human psychology that makes this possible is that humans HATE to admit (to themselves or anyone else) that they made a MISTAKE. We see this in all aspects of human behavior: selecting mates, accepting jobs, making investments, deciding what to eat for their next meal.
By comparison, CATS do not suffer from this character defect.

Can god see into the future?
by DuvanMuvan inthis is something that's been bothering me for a while.. if god could see into the future, why has he allowed so many bad things to happen?
for example in the garden of eden.
he should have known from the beginning what would happen.if there was even the tiniest chance that they'd eat the fruit then god obviously didn't think it would be benefical to, idk, prevent it from happening?

Hell or no hell
by never a jw inabout a year ago i had an exchange of emails with an elder of a congregation where all my jw relatives attend.
i asked him all kinds of questions regarding blood, 607, shunning, evolution, higher education.
as anticipated, he either had no answer or provided an evasive one.

Sorry if I "harshed your mellow," never_a_jw.
I was raised a JW from the age of 7-ish, was a pioneer and a Ministerial Servant in my congregation and gave the 1 hour public talk on Sunday. Then my brains kicked in; today I'm an atheist and hold no fondness for parasitic metaphysicians.
...but I can speak JW if the situation demands it. Perhaps this is one such occasion, eh?

Hell no.
There is no "spirit realm" subdivided into parcels called Heaven or Hell. There are no "spiritual beings" called gods, angels or demons.
You have no "spiritual organ" called a soul. When you are born, you begin your one-and-only experience of life, and when you die it is over.
What DOES exist is the human imagination capable of self-deception to disguise some of the harsh reality of existence.
You're welcome.

Do you pray over your meals? If so why? If not, when did you stop and why?
by BU2B into answer my question, no i do not pray over meals anymore exept for when i am with other jws i do a 15 second head bow for appearances sake.
i just came to the realization god had nothing to do with whether i ate or not.
many believers are starving right now whilst many non-believers are eating like kings.. also why should god give me food while he lets little children in dprk concentration camps starve to death.
