@ Konceptual99 - I think you are probably right about there not going to be a "waterfall" of defectors at this time, but i do think that MANY things are in motion. Its going to be a domino effect. Starting off slowly, and small, but gradually gaining momentum. As some will voice their disapointment, it will inspire more and more to speak up.

The organization appears to be very sick. Its "air" of unloving decisions, falsly hiding their history, their use of smoke and mirrors, and cover-ups, has finally contaminated their soil. Their roots are withering. Their branches are dying, and breaking. Their fruit is rotten, and unapealling to the touch, and taste.

The "heavy winds", of lawsuits, and poor financial decisions, are threatening their stability. The tree is rocking, and shaking, in this wind. It cannot stand against it for much longer. Not when the soil is loose, and unhealthy, and its roots cannot anchor firmly. The wind will break it, and it will collapse with a mighty, thunderous, report.

The sickness is spreading. It is starting to grow, and grow. it will spread from disgruntled, thrown away, special pioneer, to laid off bethelite, to beaten down parents of disfellowshiped children, to the "poorer" ones with no privileges, to the ones who dont believe the lies anymore, to the ones who have questions but no answers, and it will happen from the top of the tree, down to its roots. Welcome to the ROT!

Can the special pioneers, bethelites, and many other "servants", who are getting their benefits stripped, SUE THE WTBS?

i know in america, corporations, and businesses, are many times obligated to atleast continue certain medical benefits for an extended period of time, like a year or two, even after they are "let go".

i wonder how many older, special pioneers, missionarys, bethelites, and such, have pre-existing medical conditions, and need to have to continue their benefits for care?.

the wts, can send a letter saying " sorry your shits gone in 3 months", but is this really legal?

With all due respect, Simon, lawyers take frivilous cases all the time in America. Usually the simple word, PUBLICITY, is the reason. Before Mcdonalds served hot coffee to someone, and it spilled on them, i bet nobody would have thought that a lawyer would have taken the case to sue them, but they DID, and WON.

There are "kooks" in every aspect of society, poloticians, lawyers, WTS, and all types, can have all reasons for pursuing something for their own motives.

While, i completely agree, that these persons volunteered, thats not my point. The point here is, that an AMERICAN corporation, is cutting THOUSANDS of peoples MEDICAL BENEFITS, in 3 months time. IS this legal, yes or no. I honestly dont know, but i do know, that in America, there are laws in place to protect people with PRE-EXISTING medical conditions from losing their benefits WITHOUT enough time and care being allowed.

I GUARANTEE THE WTS IS VIOLATING THIS LAW!!!!!!!!

You may be right, but lack of contract does not mean lack of following the law. You are probably right about the RF, bobble heads, and the yadda yadda about reproach on Jah, BUT what if these are LEGITIMATE human rights violations.

Perhaps, if certain higher ups, like lawyers, or politicians, were simply brought up to speed, THEY would be obligated to prosecute the WTS.

Can you imagine the headlines, "The WTS CORPORATION, violating their own members human rights".

Remember, this is, in reality, a CORPORATION, slashing peoples medical benefits, AT A WHIM.

This could very well be a violation of somes human rights.

That was one of the most ridiculous 7 minutes, i just sat thru. This is a GB member, crazy. He is actually saying how being DOGMATIC, which is saying something and expecting blind obedience, is WRONG, and then is giving a modern day example about how we should blindly obey the FDS, no matter what. WHAT????

This is, mind numbingly, insulting any person with even half a brain.

I cant beleive i just saw a GB member saying, that they arent and shouldnt be dogmatic, but he did it WITH DOGMATISM. And, the purpose of the 7 minutes was to emphasize, basically, blind obedience.

@ Sabin - That is a very valid point, and a great observation, about how his eyes were constantly looking to the right. I noticed the same thing, too. He looked very uncomfortable, but more importantly, all his manerisms were that he was being deceitful, and not beleiving his own words.

I really hope that there may be some kind of protection, and or recourse, for these people who have given up almost everything, and now are being thrown to the "wolves".

What a, and perhaps not even thought of by the WTS, huge financial backlash this could cause for them.

The WTS/GB, are so stupid in their decision making, that they may not have even thought of the legality of this. Again, just figuring that the sheeple would just nod their heads, and take it up the you know what.

Well, maybe we should find out if this is EVEN LEGAL, and put the WORD out there for these ones whos very lives may hang in the balance. Imagine the crippling effect this could have on the WTS, if it backfired on them, by some disilusioned about being "thrown away", took legal action.

I wonder if some lawyers heard about, what this CORPORATION, is doing, if maybe they would want to GET INVOLVED.

Yes, it may be true, that these pioneers and such, chose this path perhaps blindly, but still on a HUMAN and LOVING level, maybe we could help them.

i look for every way to make my 5 minute talks devoid of wt flavor.

i try to be positive -talk about god's love for humanity.

I give my talks completely in the nude, and lubed up from head to toe. The sisters LOVE it, of course, although a few seem uncomfortable. I also usually draw the word "apostate" on my forehead, with a black sharpie marker. In fact the last talk i gave, i just kept saying the number 1914, over and over, for the whole 5 minutes. I got a "G" from the overseer, of course, he LOVED it.

@- Bill Convert, could you elaborate on your specific dealings with Merton Campbell? I am VERY curious, as i knew him, and his psycho wife Olga, many years ago. I would love to compare "notes", lol. Also, where can i look up the info on him that you mentioned? You say JWN, but i dont know what that is. I would really appreciate ANY info on Merton, and JWN, thanks in advance.

i'm not jw, so i see this all standing up and very clear from an outsider perspective (i am still seeking my path).

i joined the blog a few weeks ago.

i dated a divorced jw (jw from birth) for a couple of years recently.

One thing you have to remember to, is that there are many here that are at different stages of "waking up". Some are still "members", some are long removed from it, others are just starting to realize how they feel about things. Many are only mildly concerned, while others have been truly "hurt" by the organization. Then, you have the many levels of hurt, and with that the many levels of healing.

Many are new to sites like this, in general, and they are still attending meetings, just coming to grips with their own feelings. Others, like myself, are new to this site, and yet i have been "out"/DF'd from the borg, for over 20 years. Then others have been "aware" of the hypocrisy for years, and on these sites for years too.

So many are at different levels and stages, simply with their own feelings, and learning about information itself. Thats why a site like this, is a great stepping stone for many to start to wake up and continue to learn, and at all levels and stages.

Maybe, this will eventually blossom into a "movement" of sorts, but i feel this will be an organic, and natural progression in due time. Maybe, the time is now, maybe the climate is "ripe", or maybe it will still take years to progress. One person can change this, or one event could be a catalyst in this. If we say, "IT SHOULD BE" , it doesnt mean it will be, BUT, it also doesnt mean it cant or wont be, either.

Time will tell, whats meant to be will be. I for one would be happy to help others be released from the harm the WTS has caused, and causes. I would be willing to organize, or give time and resources to doing so, but again, only time can tell.

One thing i have learned, in my continued journey, is that we "all can make our own destiny". When i was WRONGLY kicked out of the WTS, i was told by the Elders that i wasnt worthy of forgiveness, but if i staid in the "world", where hypocrytically they were throwing me, i would be leading a miserable and unfullfilled life.

Well, i didnt let their harmfull words "rule" me, and fast forward 20 years later, and i am a self-employed milloinaire. I own rental properties, my own corporations, i make my own hours, and can work when i wish, on my own terms, and at 40 years old. I have plenty of disposable income, a beautiful home, a wonderful family, with 2 beautiful daughters. I have a happy marriage, a wife who respects and loves me, and i her. I have wonderful relationships and friendships, with people from all walks of life. I have surpassed all the Elders that threw me away as a 19 year old boy, financially, intelectually, and humanly. Now that i am a 40 year old man, i know that they are NOTHING.
