"Sorry, sister; but the CO said he isn't going to visit anyone durind the Special Week."
by Tempest in a Teacup inthird post about the big disappointments that woke me up.
i'm writing them in no particular order.
these episodes made me bitter when they happened.

@ - Tempest in a teacup - I dont blame you for being discouraged, and feeling slighted by that CO's actions. The sad thing is, that probably 90% of us here have had similar experiences of being treated very unlovingly by Elders, CO's, and many others, "professing" to be true christians, but showing themselves to be true frauds. -

Any funny stories of when a"brother" giving a talk, said something "funny" or "questionable", and didn't even realize it?
by Dunedain inthere were always all types of speakers in the org.
myself, growing up a "witness", must have heard all types of talks, and given by all manner of speakers, especially on sundays, when almost every week we would get a "visiting" brother giving the public talk.. sometimes, you would have a "great" speaker, all fluent and animated.
other times we would get a comical speaker, one who would maybe purposelly get a few laughs outta the audience.

Oh Geez, they are starting to come back to me now. I got another one i just remembered, lol.
My family and i was visiting a different congregation one Sunday, cause my father was giving the public talk. Anyway, this congregation was in a totally different kingdom hall, in a completely different neighborhood, and the hall must have been an older building.
So, when it was time for the Watchtower study, the conductor, who was an older black brother, was half way thru the study, when the heating furnace, which was behind the stage, started "acting up" and making these loud BANGING noises.
The brother conducting the Watchtower, stops mid sentence, and yells, " BROTHER ANDERSON, IS BROTHER ANDERSON HERE, BROTHER ANDERSON, GET UP ON HERE, WE HAVING DAMN EXPLOSIONS GOING ON UP HERE "
Evidentally, i am assuming, Brother Anderson must have been in charge of the furnace, lol.

There is a scripture, somewhere in the old testament, cant recall it exactly, but where it was speaking about " boiling kids in their own milk ", of course these scripture was talking about "kids" being baby GOATS.
Well the brother was reading that scripture, for the bible reading, and after reading it he commented, " brothers, can you IMAGINE, these people were actually boiling their own CHILDREN in their own mothers milk ". He was appalled, and aghast, and continued his talk, about how much the nation of Isreal had "fallen from grace", that they were even boiling their children in milk, lol.
Stupid, knucklehead, thought they were talking about human children, instead of baby GOATS, lol.

Nobody on Earth, right now talks to Jesus, and he definitely doesn't talk back, either. Jehovahs Witnesses, do beleive in Jesus, and say he was a form of their ransom, some of JW's beliefs about Jesus, are questionable, though, but ANY beliefs in Jesus can be questioned. Also JW's pray to Jehovah only, but in Jesus name, at the end of their prayers. They do NOT pray directly to Jesus. Many of JW's teachings concerning Jesus, and worshipping him, like Listener said above, have changed drastically over the years.
While they do "beleive" in Jesus, and that he is a ransom, in recent years, JW's adoration and feelings for Jesus have become less and less, while MORE reverance is given to Jehovah, AND the Governing Body, even more than Jesus himself. Some even say, that many Elders in the JW congregations, are more revered than even Jesus, himself. But, lastly, NO Jehovahs witnesses, or any other humans now on Earth, speak with Jesus.

@ - Morpheus - That video is great. Do you know anything about it? Like, was it made by exJW's, or who was behind it? Very "ingenius", in its own way. I appreciate if you got any background info on it, thanks. -

Apostasy and Pedophile Scandal are Spreading
by cookiemaster inso here's an interesting thing that happened lately.
if you guys have followed my previous posts, you probably know my mother almost died from severe anemia, decided to take blood transfusions to avoid death and the elders announced the congregation she disassociated.
last week a "brother" came to visit from a congo about 100 kilometers away.

@ - Magnum - Me too, it takes time, but its happening at the most rapid pace ever. It is a domino effect, many, many, "seeds" were planted over 20 years ago, and now its spreading and growing, at an incredible rate. Many have been hurt, by this org, some have quietly bided their time, while others have been pre-emptive. Either way, the "fruits" are in bloom NOW. -

@ - Crazyguy - You are slightly correct, concerning the family dynamic, its true that in the USA we are a bit more uptight, but not to an extreme point. MANY,MANY, families are NOT liking, and or following, the way the Borg is "forcing" them to choose between their children or parents, or siblings. Plus, in USA the internet usage is TREMENDOUS, and that almost makes up for it, at least in terms of people starting to "wake up" more and more. Point being, it definetelly is happening, and on MANY fronts, not only in Europe, Australia, and many other areas, but, dare i say it, even MORE SO in America. I see it, firsthand. many in the R&F are questioning, hurting, waking up, and searching.
There is a great awakening happening, right before our eyes. The squeezing of the Borgs evil hands is crushing the life out of many of its members, and the tighter they squeeze, the more slip out. The Borgs own website, is also slowly becoming their undoing. People are seeing the "mystified" GB, firsthand, not as some "far off" chosen elite, but the stupid, out of touch, petty, MEN, that they REALLY are.

@ - Simon & Problemaddict - I completely agree with you guys, and i, in NO way condone this behavior. I do beleive it does more "damage", than good. That being said, i still beleive it takes "guts" to do this. Yeah, he is gonna be looked at as a raving lunatic, but obviouslly he felt "compelled" to do this. As Simon said, it most likely came from ANGER, perhaps he was even personally hurt by child abuse, or his own children were. It certainly takes "balls" to get up there and scream like that, in front of all those people, i know i couldnt do it.
I do beleive, though, that specifically with this child abuse issue, if more people did it, it would make people question, What really is going on. Any of the "crazy" tactics that were used in the past, most times never worked. Standing outside holding signs, yelling, and the such, just "reinforced" the "persecution" philosophy in many JW's minds, and if anything "strengthened their faith". However, these men and women, were compelled to do it. Many people have been truly "HURT" by this organization, and i think most of us "feel" for them. People, often act out in certain ways, but it comes from a place of hurt, or anger.
Now, i am not saying, in ANY way, shape or form, that we should be acting like this, but if some choose to, i wont take away, their hurt, and their reasons why. I feel with all the info on the internet, and the WTS OWN ways, and us lovingly speaking to whomever we can help, and yes, if some want to YELL and SCREAM, well taken as a whole, it may create a "bigger picture" that somethings "wrong in watchtower land".
It was probably more detrimental for this person to interupt that assembly, but it took "guts", and he probably did make somebody, "think", idk. I feel bad for him, actually.
