I've had enough..

so last night, after thinking "wow those pesky elders have finally left me alone, maybe since i skipped out on their jc invitation back on august 1st they've given up" wrong.. i go to check the mail and there's an envelope at my front door- lo and behold, another letter from from these elders.. why won't they leave me alone already?

i'll attach a picture of the letter.. again, same letter as the first one inviting me to a judicial committee on august 15th - and signed by all three elders.. should i just continue to ignore?

quite frankly i don't give a rats arse i've been enjoying life free from the mind control of the organization, and i just wish they would drop it and let me live life.. like i mentioned before, i am moving to a new home next week, the only reason these elders have my current address ( which happens to be over 100 miles away from the cong ) is because my mother gave it to them, after i gave it to her in confidence to forward me my mail.. so lets just say she won't be getting my new address... i don't have any contact with ones from this congregation (i'm an ex pioneer, so i'm sure if they've gotten word on what i'm doing, i must be satan himself!

IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE. That's all you have to do Raven. If you truly do not care about your "standing" in the cult, then don't worry about it.

As others have said, do not give them any "power" over you, and to do anything to you.

You do not have to subject yourself to their inappropriate questions, their fake "concern" when really they only want to catch you, and discipline you.

If you give them ANYTHING, like your time, energy, information, you are still letting the Cult have some control over you. You do not have to do that. You are truly free from them, but only when you do not let them have any effect on your life.

I LOVE the fact that you are moving very soon. This is an awesome stroke of "luck" at this time. You basically have been ignoring them, and essentially the most they have done is leave/send you a few letters. Its really nothing if you let it continue to be nothing, by ignoring it. Once you move, now they cannot even find you, to leave a letter, or anything.

This is GREAT. You will be completely free, because you are not giving them ANY power over you. They are simply mere men, who for some reason, believe they can judge fellow humans, and they can decide someones "standing" before an Almighty God. Its absurd, really, and its all meaningless once you give them no power over you.

So far, you have, and are, doing EVERYTHING RIGHT. Please continue to ignore them, especially since you said you do not care about the outcome anyway. Since you are not giving your new address to Mom, and you are moving soon, by ignoring them still, you are very soon about to be completely free of this Cult, and these men. Congrats, and keep ignoring them, you are doing it perfect.

How to argue with a JW who says the org never said the end in 75

I knew an "anointed" brother from my old congregation who tried to say that the Org NEVER said anything about 1975.

Needless to say, he was not some old timer in the org since the 40's or 50's, and lived through it as an anointed pillar in the "truth".

Nope, lol, he started studying in the 80's, and was baptized in the 80's too, as a 30 year old man. He was a clown, lol.

there has been a lot of talk about the "new light" concerning the generation teaching.

it's been a major part of the prophecy concerning the last days and of course since jws are the only ones able to decipher and understand prophecy it is of great importance to get this main prophecy right.

The best is how EVERY older brother and sister that were on the famous Watchtower cover that said "1914. this generation shall by NO means pass away", HAS DIED.

That Watchtower cover, showing all those elderly bros and sisters on it, being blown up to poster size and simply adding the word LIE underneath it, would be the best propaganda tool us "apostates" could use, lol.

It really is a joke, and drives the nail home about how wrong these dingbats in charge are/were. Its ALL been wrong, and from the very beginning. We are not talking about a 20% failure rate, or a 50% failure rate, no its a 100% failure rate. Its absurd really.

They got the late 1800's wrong, 1919 wrong, the 1920's wrong with millions now living will NEVER die. The 50's were full of tremendous back and forth "flip flops", and changing doctrines. They got 1975 wrong, the generation of 1914 wrong, and this BS overlapping generation, IS the WORST OF IT ALL.

This is their "core doctrine" shit, too. This stuff is the cornerstone of their whole claim of being "ordained" by God. Really when you think about it, its WTF, why is ANYBODY still involved with this organization.

That's a cult for you, though. Blind, ignorant, deluded people, thinking they have all the answers. We must remember, at the end of the day their are many people in this world who are JUST followers. People have literally drank the Kool-Aid and killed themselves from blind obedience, why wouldn't there be people who would blindly follow a religious cult who has falsely prophesied and been WRONG 100% of the time.

Subtle Differences in congregations

i grew up in a very zealous congregation.

we had almost 40 pioneers with only 100 publishers.

the congregation was 100% black americans (i don't say african-american).

I grew up in an ALL white congregation, and not in a place you would expect either. It was not somewhere in middle America, it was in a BOROUGH OF NEW YORK CITY.

The area I grew up in, and I am from, was a predominately Italian American population. Hence, so was the congregation I was in from infancy. In fact, there was even another congregation that met at our hall, that was only Italian speaking.

That being said, it was in a VERY affluent area, literally multi million dollar homes everywhere, including on my block growing up, AND the same block as the Kingdom Hall. This created the same type of "pitfalls" that you ge, like the OP mentioned.

Yet, in the same borough of NYC, ALL the other congregations were mostly black and Spanish. In those congregation there were actual families living in utter poverty. Some families did not have enough food to feed themselves, or enough money to cloth themselves.

In those congregation, however, I would not say they were necessarily more zealous, or free of "sin and problems". In fact, in those congregations there were quite different issues. Many of the members lived in NYC housing projects. This meant that the Elders there were dealing with members whos kids were joining gangs, selling and doing drugs, and involved in crimes that sent them to jail. Also, the morality or lack of, seemed to be just as prevalent in those congs, too. Kind of equal in all.

As far as out and out full blown racism, I really did not see that from congregation to congregation. When black brothers, and their families visited, they were treated like everyone else, including being invited over for dinner, lunch, and that kinda stuff. In fact everyone was would get a dose of the FAKE, PLASTIC, CONDITIONAL "LOVE", that we know most JW's are good for.

Now, there was a sense of superiority, in my cong compared to others, but I believe this came more from an economic standpoint, not so much a racial one, (not saying that's better). Also, my cong was mostly Italian American, and with that comes a certain "clan" like mentality, that is just found in certain cultures. This, of course, was in the cong, and the "world".

I believe this kind of stuff exists on all different levels, and in most congs. Not necessarily racist, but a certain "us and them" type of attitude, but mostly from a financial standpoint. In my old cong I knew of white brothers marrying black sisters, and vice versa, but I also knew of white families that were assigned to "black" congregations who transferred to my old "white" congregation, even though they didn't live in its jurisdiction. I don't know what their reasons were, but it could very well have been racial, or wanting to be more "comfortable", as some would say.

Also, many Bethelites would go to my old congregation, and they were mostly white, and "higher ups" with a lot of pull at Brooklyn Bethel. Did their "status" allow them to pick my old congregation? Why wouldn't they go to the others, where possibly they were more needed?

Can baptism be considered a legal verbal agreement?

the fact that you can only be expelled after having been put under this oath of allegiance and that you have witnesses to you making this agreement ( i remember my name was shout to the crowd when i entered the pool ).. if it can be considered so, would there be a legal ground to say minors can not enter this agreement?.

I, however, can give a specific example about myself. I was baptized at 13 years old, obviously a minor. Personally I had truly no idea what it "REALLY" meant. We all know the story though, its what you "have" to do, or you are looked down upon.

Well, by the age of 17, I was unfairly DF'd. This was literally still as minor at the time. I had to deal with ALL the negatives that come with being "thrown out" of everything I had ever known. I lost the ONLY people I ever knew, it was highly traumatic.

Most DF'ings occur when we are adults, and everyone knows how hard, and traumatic that is, imagine being a minor.

Suffice to say, that event has truly impacted my life in a negative way. It defined further pain, and mental, emotional suffering, for the rest of my life.

This was done to me due to a verbal "contract", which was created when I was a minor, and the negative actions were also done to me as a minor.

Why could I not sue the org, for abuse to me, both mentally, and emotionally, BECAUSE of a verbal contract that I committed to at the age of 13? I did NOT continue to understand, and become a willing participant into adulthood, I was canned as a minor too.

The announcement is going to be, that the GB/Org MUST sell off many of its Kingdom Halls that are distributed around the world.

They are going to say that this "sell-off" has nothing to do with the "work" slowing down, or that we are still very much in the end of this system.

They are going to blame it on "necessity" of the financial burdens that it takes to "run" an organization that is spread around the earth.

They are going to say that we ALL must sacrifice at this time, too. Therefore many will have to travel further to their new Kingdom Halls, as many congregations will need to be consolidated do to the selling off of Kingdom Halls.

They will then say, we know this may be an additional burden on some, but we should always be willing to "sacrifice" for Jehovah. This should NOT be a reason to leave the Org, or no longer attend the meetings. Instead we should firm up our resolve, further determining to serve Jehovah.

In truth this announcement will be made to COVER OVER what is REALLY going on. The BORGs plan of "taking over" Kingdom Halls by "forgiving" mortgages so that the BORG can actually OWN the properties, is now reaching its final phase.

This IS the sell-off and cash grab, as the BORG IS in financial downfall, and due to lawsuits and MANY other reasons, they need the money from the sales of these Kingdom Halls.

This is what this announcement will be about.

The only thing I can think of, would be maybe by him "coming out", he would also be PROVING that God himself exists, too. Really you cant have one without the other, lol.

I am not saying this as fact, I am just following your train of thought, which I actually think is a good one. It does make sense that if Satan wanted ALL the power and glory, wouldn't he want to be front and center, idk.

There is the famous saying, that the greatest trick the Devil ever did was to convince the world he doesn't exist. Perhaps by remaining in the "shadows", he can control the world, and deceive humans away from God. Kinda like the "power that be", that conspiracy theorists believe TRULY run the world. They want to use a puppet government, while they stay behind in the shadows, ushering in the "new world order", while controlling the money and power.

OR, its all a bunch of bullshit, and is an ancient fable to help other men, control other men. If a priestly class can make other humans believe a Satan exists, and ONLY they have the power to save you from him, then they have control over those people. Sounds like what the evil slave, the Governing body, is doing to over 8 million people right now.

Would you consider cutting someone off from perhaps the ONLY human beings they have EVER known, and interacted with, due to archaic rules, merciful?

Would you consider pushing away someones hand, when they are reaching out for help, merciful?

Would kicking someone while they are down, be merciful?

Would publicly humiliating, and shaming someone, because their sins were INVENTED by men, merciful?

Would you consider all the shunning that is happening, be SOLELY happening because of being JUDGED by a fellow human being, merciful?

Why don't they give specific examples of these so called "cultures", where in beards would be the equivalent of practically tattooing a swastika on your forehead.

Its so ridiculous, really. Like most of their "stands", they cowardly double talk, and blur the message. Its left up to "interpretation", but interpretation by WHO. The dipshits who are in "charge". Who decides whats acceptable, and what "culture" accepts it or not.

I can see the Elder in charge of congregation "A", "demonizing" beards, because HE cant grow one, and has a newborn baby peach fuzz on his face. Then Elder in charge of congregation "B", will have no problem with beards, and look down on the less "manly" brothers who don't where a beard to resemble Jesus.

Its all the same shit, you CAN take this part of blood, but NOT that, you CAN wear a beard here, but NOT there. HYPOCRATES.
