It seems to me that you have missed the point of the demonstration that Jesus did. THERE IS NO REALITY IN DEATH! It is part of the ego's plan to con you into thinking that you are merely a flesh body.

I own a bit of Honeywell International. They seem to be coming back of late and pay a good dividend.

Actual Number of the anointed remaining
by core inheard from a sister that a visitor to their cong (from usa) mentioned in passing that at the top at brooklyn they did not think that the reported number of anointed still alive was accurate, rather they believe that only a couple of hundred remain.
they apparently believe this points to the end soon (again) - also if it is true they are not proclaiming it (obviously because the time limit it imposes will be exposed as another failed date).
odd if that is the case as they keep on finding gb members who are not actually very old

I am very much a believer, but not in the false teachings put out by the Watchtower Organization. I belong to the Unity Movement. As you know, that is quite different from the Unitarian Movement.
Welcome to the forum. As has been pointed out, most here have had negative experiences with the Watchtower Organization. I happen to be married to a JW and have managed to persevere in that marrigiage despite attempts by the WTBTS to destroy my family.

I enjoyed the movie very much and found it quite interesting. We all view our "reality" through the filter of our belief systems and our past experiences. Anyone who doesn't see that is not a very keen observer of the events in their life. Scientists have long understood that the observer affects the outcome of the experiment. Albert Einstein accepted the truth of Quantum Physics, he just didn't like the implications of it very much. That great philosopher Flip Wilson operating in the persona of "Geraldine" used to say, "What you see, is what you get!".

The great pyramid
by OneLord inmost people would consider it very wacky to connect the pyramid of gizah with the bible.
russell's claim was that the pyramid, the 1.st wonder of the world, was a witness down the ages containing god's plan.
the teachings and ideas on this seem to be so complex, that few people would spend / waste the time required to study these things.

I am amazed at how many folks think that the Hebrews built the Pyramids as slaves. Actually they had been standing for almost 1000 years before the Semites began to migrate to Egypt. While the Hebrews may have been an "under-class", it is doubtful that they were slaves. They were likely very much like the "wetbacks" we have today. You can't work construction today unless you can get by in Spanish. In truth, they really didn't become Hebrews until Moses rounded them up and organized them. The name Hebrew comes from the Egyptian word "Hibyru" which meant "robber or raider". The Egyptian Govenors closest to the Sinai were constantly complaining about the "Hibyru" raiding into their territory. Egypt did, after all, have a reliable food supply thanks to the annual flooding of the Nile. The Jews wouldn't come into existence until 700 B.C. or so when they held out against the Assyrians.

A statement in the Watchtower that angered me...
by slimboyfat inthe study article on the "patience of jehovah" a few weeks back caused some discussion on the forum.
but there was one particular turn of phrase that stuck out in my mind concerning job:"the outcome?
jehovah "blessed the end of job afterward more than his beginning.

I suspect the Jews "borrowed" that story from the Persians. It has been edited so many times over the ages that it is difficult to tell who wrote what. Some of the lines from one character appear to have been intended for womeone else. In any case, the answers are not very satisfactory are they?

Do you think that the Book of "Genesis" is a fairytale?
by booker-t ini mentioned before on another post that i am in college working on my ba degree and i am having such a "hard" time with believing in the bible since taking my science class.
the information that i am learning is totally destroying my faith in the bible.
i still believe in jehovah and jesus and would never chose the "atheist" way but i am wondering if maybe the bible is just a book of fairytales to teach us a lesson.

You shouldn't forget that, according to the Gospel of John, the universe was created by the Son, not the Father. This is more in line with the teaching of A Couse In Miracles when testifies that the earth was created by the separated Son as a place to experiece separation from God, a place to "do our own thing". As far as I'm concerned, the story of the Prodigal Son tells us everything we need to know about the Father and our future. If God had created this universe, it would be perfect which it certainly is not.
