Yes there are many.. as your responses have shown already. My list was geared towards the average cong. in my area I suppose.

He must have been well connected. Typically City Overseers are used as "Fixers and cleaners" by the society and CO's but many I knew were washed out elders who couldn't do anything else so the CO threw them a bone.

Bottom to top:
-Governing Body incl. zone overseers, service, writing, etc commitee members
-Given ones/Bethel Heavies
-District Overseer
-Circuit Overseer
-City Overseer (though only good on paper)
-PO
-The rest of the service committee
-WT Conductor, TMS Overseer, Bookstudy Overseer
-The elders without one of the above assignments
-MS
-Pioneers
-Aux Pioneers
-Strong Publishers
-Misses a few meetings here and there publishers
-Inactive publishers
-DF/DA
Then of course there are subcategories to many of the above. If you are an elder, member of the Service committee and a bethelite or pioneer then your "stock" goes up. If you are an MS and also a bethelite or pioneer then in some cases you may be even more "famous" then some elders without one of the big assignments. Anymore you can think of?
For a religion that touts itself to be fully christian, clergy class free and non discriminatory they sure do like to categorize people. Its quite an oppressive social structure in the WT and its all based on working or your salvation despite the bible saying that life is a "gift from god"

District Assembly Games
by *jeremiah* ini left the jw's when i was 17, so most of these games were played during teenage years.. here are some things i remember doing with my friends during the assembly:.
1. the last clap.
after a brothers talk or when "new light" emerged and the entire stadium would erupt with clapping we would see if one of us could be the very last person in the entire stadium to clap.. 2. the laugh game.

JW Murder Fetish - More LIES!!!
by LeahJasmine inok, so i misinterpreted this author's other article, but this one really does go way beyond.
it's "jehovah witness murder fetish (a psychological model)".
i don't think there's anyway that i am misunderstanding this one - he's saying that the watchtower is to blame!.

I'm with you on this one... being a JW doesn't necessarily mean that you will snap someday and murder your family. I do know that a lot of JWs have psychological/depression issues but there is a big difference between depression and psychosis. Besides there are wacko's in all social circles not just among JWs.

I live in an area where there are several larger, urban communities as well as middle-upper class suburbs all within driving distance of each other. When I was helping out a foreign language cong. 15 yrs ago driving to one of the cities I noticed that the CO's that served the city area (the CO appartment was at the kingdom hall) were almost always black. In the area where I lived, since on numerous occasion's I did attend in english especially CO visits I noticed that the CO's were almost always white. Urban-Black Suburban-White. Hmmm.....

Do You Really "Care" If Someone's Gay Or Not???
by minimus inso often, you see people all up in arms because it is revealed that an individual is "gay".
do you really care??
personally, i don't.

Justin I do see your point but you misunderstood mine, why do they need it labeled marriage?? As far as I'm concerned marriage can be renamed to domestic partnership since legally thats what it is a contract. You see what I am saying? If its as if they want the approval of people by calling it legally marriage when in reality they dont need to justify the union to anyone. Thats what I was saying...

I dont care one way or the other, never have. Its a shame though that with the recent court ruling in NJ gays want their unions to be labeled "marriages", domestic partnership isnt enough and that is stupid. They have the legal rights, so why get flustered over a puritanically influenced title?? So sad that they cant just be happy with the legality of their unions.

Congregations Closing Down
by choosing life ini recently heard about a congregation that was "diabanded".
the publishers were reassigned to other congregations.
is this happening elsewhere or just a local thing?
-
XBEHERE
Not happening that often in my area but personally it should be. Most congregations are small... MUCH smaller than they used to be. When I visit to give talks often I'll start with maybe 25-35 people in attendance with it finally ending with 50-60. Attendance used to be 80-120 in most of these congregations 10+ yrs ago. Elder bodies are much smaller also...3-6 instead of 8-12 when I was first appointed. Times are changing for the WT.
