Yes they do. I don't care if they have signs of infection or not. What happens if she was infected but not showing symptoms.. they say that its not infectious in that case but what if the virus mutated as they so often do. Better safe than sorry

I also saw a picture of a KM school recently. Almost completely older guys - average age had to be 60+. Long term , the future looks pretty dire - in Europe at least
Not here in my area of the U.S. There are older elders sure but the majority of my BOE and in surrounding congs there is a trend of 30's-40's elders. Many of them pioneers, CO wannabe's who are just waiting for Brother 70yearold to be put to pasture so he can swoop in and take control.

Tv.jw.org - Average Jdub reaction? I'm getting NOTHING but Silence!
by 4thgen inhello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.
many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.
well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.

Maybe a 1/4 -1/3 of active dubs will think it's cheesy, but the rest are lapping this stuff up. The changes are being seen as positive
This is the reaction that I have been seeing, but what else can active JWs say about it? You can't say what you really feel just what you are expected to say. I do think your statistic of 1/4-1/3 is probably accurate as well.

They aren't evil just phoney. Totally fake, conditional love. Being a JW is one of the most annoying experiences socially because there are definitely cliques, ol' boys clubs, popular people, etc. as in any group. However the difference is when you are a JW you can not complain about it. John 13:35....love amongst ourselves, stop being petty, love covers a multitude of sins.... blah blah.
So pretty much you can be treated like crap by others, they can be phoney to your face, but you have to "love them" and "forgive them" lol.. such a wonderful, christian organization.

Not jealous but irritated that some ass sucker got appointed. Then again I was appointed an elder at 25 so I guess I was that ass sucker.... not anymore, boy do I regret that.

Wow.. I don't think there is anything that I can say about this. I just hope that if this situation ever happens in my family that my daughters feel free to approach us so this tragedy doesn't happen. Very sad, cult's instill this fear in people and its very dificult for others to undertand it if they aren't in the situation.

Simple, they do not address it at all. Many of the JWs today are virtually unaware of any doctrines pre-dating 1990 so there is really no need to discuss it. Myself being a born in I was not aware of many of these events and doctrines developing around me as I grew up. When the 1995 Generation change it that really started my doubts to surface.
I know of a few MS's in my cong and even a few elders who were not even JW's when that happened and I am in the US. I would imagine with the growth that took place in the 1990's because of Russia and other places that there are many in responsible positions in the org that simply do not know what was previously taught unless they research it themselves.
Short answer... the the Rank and File in general have no clue about it.

How Do They Still Preach & Teach The "End" Is Right Around The Corner And Never Get Embarrassed?
by minimus infrom from the very beginning, the watchtower has been wrong about every prophecy regarding "the time of the end".
they still continue to spout false information.. go out and preach before it is too late!

They use the "God's time table is different from ours". We need to think in non-human terms. They have a stupid answer for everything.

In my congregation I'd say about 40-50% or so. Hard to tell sometimes because they do not always use them weekly. I did notice that there was a surge of elders adopting them after the "official" JW Library app came out last year. I guess diehards were waiting for mother to give approval by dripping milk out of her teet first.
