I thought this interesting
Watchtower June 1 1968 page 331
On the Joyful March to Mankind’s Millennium
'Arguing against a literal future millennial rule by Christ, some have claimed that such a teaching would chill the missionary ardour of Christians to make disciples of all nations. (Matt. 28:19,20) But not so! Today no people are more zealous in carrying out this missionary commission than are the Christian witnesses of Jehovah, who believe that the 1,000-year reign of Christ is literal and future. In comparatively few years these have grown to more than a million. Today they are carrying out this commission in 197 lands and islands of the sea and that in 169 languages. Last year they devoted 184 million hours to this work!
And no wonder. What good news they have to tell the people! They proclaim the good news that the millennial rule of Christ will begin with this generation and that it will mean ever so many blessings for the people :..'

If the Governing Body Told You They Love You All Very Much, What Would Your Reply Be?
by steve2 inin a letter in the 2013 yearbook of jehovah's witnesses, the governing body sign off with the words, "we love you all very much".
these words were later echoed by one of the governing body in an address to french jehovah's witnesses in july this year.
these words sound so marvellously compelling and heartfelt - goosebump inducing, even.. imagine the governing body wrote these words to you or expressed them to you in person- yes to you reading these very words.

The Reason Why JWs Won't Leave The Cult Is Because They Won't Think!
by minimus inthey simply refuse to think, to reason, to ponder.
they are lazy!.
even if they might feel that something isn't right, they won't research an issue or a question.

i can only speak for myself i have no idea what others really think.
i don't think i was lazy. i had a fear maybe the fear of God. i also believed for various reasons. in my view only the reason i can't join in the preaching is totally sound.
my parents taught me it was God's organization. that doesn't mean i didn't think about it. I think others who are still witnesses are not necessarily lazy just not at the same point as I was when I left.
