  i was talking to jw's that i know about a book that i had read by ray franz.

  they told me that he was disfellowshipped because he was trying to the control the religion and bend it to his will.. i have read crisis of conscience and the first half of in search of christian freedom, and can tell from my heart that this is not the case.

  i see from his examples that he was truly trying to use scripture as his guide.. i am curious of other rumors that are/were circulating through the congregations about him, and on what "basis" they have been spread.

  Ray was disfellowshipped for having LUNCH with his employer - who was DA'd at the time. Read it in the TIME mag.

  Farkel Hits the Bread Line

  i had a very positive experience today which maybe not-so-coincidentally coincided with my recent comments on matthew 25.. it was only my second personal experience with babylon the grape in my entire life.

  my first was when one of my daughters got married in a catholic church over three years ago.

  i actually sat inside the catholic chapel and watched her priest perform the ceremony.

  "The line had about thirty to forty people in it and during the fifteen or so minute wait, I observed them. This all took place on the sidewalk outside the Church. There were old people who were obviously poor, single mothers who looked frazzled and old beyond their years, immigrants and even well-dressed folks who didn?t look like they should belong in a food line. A very few looked homeless or near-homeless. Some people drove up and parked their very new and nice cars to get in line."

  "The "experienced" ones were first in line and I could be wrong, but it looked like they were possibly abusing this free program. This one man was middle-aged, nice haircut, and nicely dressed and he carted off what looked to be ten or twelve loaves of bread and two cakes. An older Russian couple in front of me took at least 8 to 10 loaves of
  bread, a bunch of doughnuts and two cakes. In these two examples those
  individuals were too old to have their own children living at home, but perhaps there were others they were taking care of, and I will not judge them, for I just don't know."

  Appearences can be quite decieving at first. Those ones who are well dressed and driving nice cars are not always there for themselves. I know of several folks who go to these "free food giveaways" and take what appears to be "lots of food for themselves". But in reality, they are there, not for themselves, but to pick up food for others who can't make it to these places. They give the food away, personally delivering it to the homes of the very needy.

  I Said Goodbye

  my father was rushed by ambulance from his rest home to st. marks hospital in salt lake city, utah friday, but i only just heard about it.

  i received a call from the floor nurse and she told me he is not expected to live.

  his lungs are filled fill up with fluid and are continuing to fill u with more fluid: he has pneumonia.

  by popular demand, i am yielding to pressure, to tell a story about our very own veniceit.. in march, venice and her parents were visiting us here in washington state, and we all had dinner at our daughter's home one evening.

  (my daughter posts here as princess) princess's son, 4 years old, was quite taken with venice and was showing her around the house.

  he was going up the stairs ahead of her, and turned around, face first at her rather, ummm, er, ample?

  the way to a speedy downfall of the watchtower kult is to educate the general public so well that they begin to have "bible studies" with everyone who comes to their door.

  then slowly present the true history of the borg to the study conductors as "questions i'd like answered next time".

  if a whole territory was like this, the "sheep" would soon be leaving!

  so, in addition to my "deceptive jw elders" and "taking our life back" series, i plan to repost my 13 justice series that were originally posted on h20.

  (there are actually 16 cases if you count #4a through 4d separately.

  Thanks for the help. After messing around with my font size - making it smaller - I saw the search button. I also fired up my IE5 - which I hate BTW - and was able to get the 30 days back page dispay to work.

  BUT - then my computer froze and I had to restart it. After restart my colors were all wrong, then my page display went whacko. I was just about to call the "tech-line" for help when everything went back to normal on restart this time. I think I got "demonizzzzed" or somthing!

  Oh well, that's 'putors for ya.

  Thanks Amazing, for offering to repost the series. I would like to put all of your series posts on my site sometime, if you don't mind.

  When I try to bring up topics from the last 30 days, as you say, all I get is "The page cannot be displayed" error message posted below. I'm using Netscape 4.1. What is wrong? As for a "search botton" I've never seen one to click on.

  Why not get a FREE GeoCities/Yahoo web site and place all of these articles on there. Then you (and others) could provide a url to the correct article when needed.

  Please understand, I'm not complaining about your posting the articles, but just offering a suggestion for you to follow up on if you wish.
