  when i was last here, my mother had recently been diagnosed with cancer.

  there were potential issues regarding transfusion, none of which eventuated.

  she undertook a course of chemo which worked quickly and effectively, with minimal side-effects.

  I don't think the GB even has to try, they are singing to a group that have accepted the "truth" with no critical thinking.

  The problem is that these folks will die and the next generation may not be as forgiving. But it is not really a problem for the current GB, they will also be dead.

  erghhhh..... don't become a lawyer or an engineer, a doctor or a nurse or a teacher.... come spend 3 years working for us at our factory for free.

  I am sure they built the campus so that they could sell it as a university site a few years form now.

  This is how the organization creates wealth - selective building with an end goal in mind.

  i think the organization is worried most about how jws will stay loyal to their families even as it rejects the admonition of the gb and elders..

  It sounds like they have a lot to fear. I suggest that they are also very fearful of what stupid elders have done to create future liabilities to the organization.

  I think deep down they would love to get rid of elders. They are nothing but trouble and a source of yet unknown legal liabilities.

  please help me out here .. in genesis 2:16 it says " and jehovah god also laid this command upon the man: from every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction.

  17 but as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it , for in the day you eat from it ,you will positively die.. ok we get that , but what about this ?.

  wouldnt it make more sense to forbid the eating of the tree of life first ?

  Perhaps the Adam and Eve is just a story with a very powerful lesson.

  Knowledge is the ultimate pursuit of humans. We are willing to sacrifice our lives in the pursuit of knowledge. But more than just knowledge, Eve was looking for the understanding of the difference between good and evil. Isn't that is a pretty big aspiration. That overlays knowledge with ethics, which is a very human experience.

  Would you be willing to sacrafice your life for this?

  the title of this thread was aimed at asking why the governing body is becoming so afraid and demanding the elders and rank and file to put their trust in the dukes of the kingdom hall.
