Based upon the advancements of science and society is the world a better place today than 100 years ago? If so I would like to say categorically, having Satan in the vicinity of the earth for 100 years is a good thing. I am more than happy to let Christ continue to wait to get the throne.

most important event in the 20th century
by scotoma injune 28 1914 archduke ferdinand was killed by a serbian government sponsored assassination team.. this was the trigger event of world war i. actually some have called it world war (part 1) followed less than 30 years later by world war (part 2).. in retrospect this was a useful date for jw's.. it has propelled them for 100 years.. of course jw's have massaged their predictions about the significance of 1914 over the years.. do you feel that jw's would be what they are today without that great war?
do you think that the shooting down of the passenger plane over east ukraine will be an equivalent moment that pushes putin into a corner where he will have to fight the west?
in other words will we look back on that event as the beginning of world war (part 3)?.

Is is right to leave your job for the WT? In an assembly interview
by skin inwe had an assembly part here 6 months ago where a sister was interviewed by the co because she left her job to do more wt work, she talked about some jobs that she had recently been offered with good pay but turned these down.
most listening to this is would be thinking that this sister is being blessed by jehovah for taking this stand, how much faith she has to do this and what can we do personally with our own jobs, made me almost feel guilty for having a job.
anyway come forward 6 months to now, this family has had to move to another region because the husband couldnt find enough work to support his family here.

The moral of the story is that they did not do enough - therefore work harder. If only they would have worked harder for jehovah they would be able to be sustained. Their lack of faith is apparent.
And as they are providing free labor the mothership is selling off property for hundreds of millions of dollars.

Even at the height of my indoctrination with the watchtower, the example of Lot disgusted me. If he was an example of a faithful servant, jehovah was scraping the bottom of the barrel.

The society purposely takes away the childhood of the young ones growing up in the cult. They fill young ones with guilt and other negative emotions and takes away the normal childhood experiences.
I can remember feeling so guilty in Kindergarten because I knew I had to warn my friends of their pending doom at Armageddon, but I was so shy that I could not start the discussion. I knew they were going to die - but I also knew I was going to die because i did not have the courage to warn them.
That is a hell of a lot of guilt placed on a barely-6-year-old. What a fuc*&ng way to live your childhood!
Is it any wonder they lose young ones?

by Pistoff inthis was the theme of a talk at this week's 2nd weekly meeting with the co.. .

this so hurt my head when wife told me about it; really?.

No, I disagree. I don't want to argue, but this is so disagreeable that I think I will go vomit.

Female Attendants
by Quarterback inthe best thing to come from the regenal convention this summer, is to see women used as attendants at the end of the program.
they were used in distributing the new publications to convention delegates..

My general question is "what it is about this job that requires a penis?" If no penis is required there is no reason for a female to be excluded. Just my opinion. Using this general question it is surprising how little value the penis is.

Most absurd thing I heard at the convention yesterday!
by Batman89 inbrother lett was giving the last talk of the day about what they supposedly accomplished in 100 years.
i was just waking up so im paraphrasing alittle(i was dosing off all day) anyways in his introduction he said.
"there is more evidence to prove gods kingdom on the earth is a reality than wind, electricity and gravity is a reality on the earth".

Just because he says something, does not mean it is true. The problem with a statement like that is it is difficult to prove otherwise to a "true believer." Which is why I don't try.
