Pitch them, I doubt they are from the housekeeping staff. Was there a JW convention recently?

What would you do?
by ctrwtf inso i travel alot for business and check into a hotel, start putting away my things and lo and behold in a bureau drawer, find a couple of wt's a couple of awake's and two tracts.
1. throw them in the trash and forget about it.
2. leave them where they lay and forget about it.. 3. leave a note for the housekeeper asking to lay off the cult recruitment.. 4. bring it to the attention of the management, and possibly get the housekeeper fired.. thanks for your input.

Please Give Me Your Thoughts On Unusual Elderly Behavior....(thanks)
by minimus inmy girlfriend's dad who is 82 lost his second wife to cancer last october.
while she was dying, he secretly was seeing another woman, in her 60s.
long story short, a month after the wife's death, they both moved in together and in early june , they secretly got married.

Does he have money? At 82, there is not many years left, so there needs to be a serous discussion about the distribution of wealth. If there is not much, then there is not much to discuss.

minimus, you must have missed it - an "antitype" Armageddon just happend. On second thought, it may have been a "spiritual" Armageddon. Perhaps it was an "invisable" Armageddon. In any event, it was pretty cool. Given that we are all still alive, it must mean we were good.

Does money buy happiness and a longer life? You decide...
by Brock Talon ini poured over time magazine's sep 8-15 2014 edition article "who we are" and put together this spreadsheet on the results from their poll.
i found the statistics quite fascinating.. most people would say that "money doesn't buy happiness", but this poll seems to me to indicate the exact opposite of that.
it also correlates education levels with higher earning that result in that happiness.

There is a saying "I have been rich and I have been poor; Rich is much better"

Playing the lottery is NOT a retirement plan. While daydreaming about winning is a fun exercise, it is a worthless endeavour. This will not create wealth.
I agree with Hoser, the millionaire next door is a great book about creating wealth.

At what point will there be more ex-JWs than active JWs?
by NewYork44M ingiven the flow out of the organization and the inability to find new recruits, there should be a tipping point where the ex's out number the actives.
has there been any discussion related to this topic?.
because many within the organization are not true believers and are in various stages of exit this calculation is some what complicated.

The difference today as compared to the Judge's day is the internet. Us stubborn apostates tend to be pretty active on the internet. Just look at apostate creative reaction to Caleb and the horrible introductory video to JW Broadcasting by Lett. This has to be a force that is keeping the real power or the organization up at night.
