  there is a thread already started on the subject of the fds elsewhere but i thought we may as well deal with aspect.. do we need a fds?.

  what would we miss if we didn't have one?.

  what additional new light do we need?.

  Hi MDS,
  I don't recolect reading whether or not you were a JW.
  I like the fact that you use scripture to back up what you say.
  What do you think of the other teachings of the WBTS?
  Hell,death,144,000 ect,ect.....?

  Living A Lie

  i am sick of living a lie, yet afraid to change it.

  married to a man who refuses to listen, who would rather plug his ears and shout "nooooooo" is taking it's tole.

  i am afraid to speak my mind about my doubt, my thoughts, and what i'm learning, as i'm not ready to cross that point of no return.

  Hi amicus,
  Not to change the subject but I am a huge Moody Blues fan.
  I have most of their records (the vinal things) tapes and cd's
  I've seen them in concert twice.
  They put on an excellant show.
  I also have their 1st big hit. Go Now. They put that out before they changed their style.
  O.K.
  Back to the subject at hand.

  What are the reasons?

  hi all,.

  someone asked me the other day why i am so interested in reading about jws,ex jws and things that are going on with the wts.. i think for the most part,only those who have been involved with the wts can understand why we are so interested in the subject.. of course having believed everything the wts has told us over the years and dedicating our lives to it kept us tied in with them.. what are the different reasons that you all have for continuing to be preocupied with the wts?.

  Hi Struggle,
  You said you're still active. Do you still go out in service?
  I ask because for me, I couldn't bring myself to go out and tell the people that the only way to properly serve God was to become a JW.

  Who really is the FDS?!?!?!?!?

  hey all, hope you're having a great year so far.. before witnet was closed down, there was an interesting discussion regarding the fds and their failed prophecies.

  i asked a question, but unfortunately there wasn't enought time to get everyone's view.. so i'll rephrase my posts, and wait to hear from y'all.. if we are so quick to say that the fds is a false prophet because of some failed prophecies (even tho they say they don't prophecy, we all know better) then how would you explain the bible book of jonah?.

  a faithful prophet, jonah, followed (after much trial and tribulation to himself) jehovah's command to declare destruction on the city of nineveh.

  The question is Who really is the FDS?
  Well what is the FDS supposed to be doing at the time of Jesus' inspection?
  Feeding His sheep spiritual food.
  Would this be bad or faulty food?
  Would it be food that had to constantly be changed?
  Would the real FDS have to keep changing their teaching saying it's "new light"?
  New light adds to old light it doesn't replace it.
  
  Wouldn't the true FDS know when Jesus came?
  Gods Word says all eyes shall see Him.
  Would the FDS be found beating their sheep if the sheep had questions?
  Wouldn't the real FDS have Gods backing?
  And wouldn't the FDS have love for their sheep and not mistreat them?
  
  So far,If there is a FDS he or it has not made an apearence yet.
  Every religious orginization out there can claim to be the FDS.
  But as Jesus said of His true followers,By their fruits you will know them.
  What are the fruits of the group that calls themselves the FDS?
  Have they made false date predictions?
  Have they made major mistakes in their teachings?
  Have they made themselves the mediator between us and God after Jesus said No one comes to the Father except thru me?
  Have they said Gods Word was written for them and not for us?
  Even the WTS says that Jesus taught in parables.Is the teaching of the FDS a parable?
  One thing we do know, If the FDS is a real entity, he or it is not here yet.
  What do you think?

  When should you Disassociate yourself?

  i have been having discussion with my sister (relative), who is an active witness, about writing a letter of disassociation.

  the reason being is that i have not attended the meetings in over a year and it's been 4 years since i have went out in the jw ministry.. i going to try to sum this topic up.

  my sister think that i should not da myself because i have not done any immoral act in her thinking.

  Hi Happytobefree,
  Do you really feel the need to write a letter?
  You know what the outcome is going to be if you write one.
  I've been inactive for a couple of years now and I know that the WTS is not who they claim to be.
  They have lied to us.They have forced us to sell their books and magazines. They have turned families against each other.
  Do we still have to play by their rules after knowing what they're about?
  It makes their job easier if you write a letter.
  That way, they can keep others away from you.
  Think long and hard before you you do it.

  When I was in the military wayback when and stationed down in Missouri, There was always that joke we yankees used to say to the southeners.
