DB Party

i have decided to have another db gettogether in april 14th or 21st i will keep you updated hope to see you in april

Well, I guess she's not sticking around to show us where we are wrong.
It's to bad. She could have learned something.
I remember being just like that though.
I wouldn't listen to anyone that talked negatively about the org.
I just knew that the WTS was Gods chosen org.
And whatever they said came from God.
Of course I never checked into the WTS history.
Or knew about all the changes they have made.
Or knew how they have twisted Gods word to mean something different than what it says.
Maybe someday she'll really want to know if the WTS is really Gods chosen orginization.
After all,weren't the Boreans comended for ckecking the scriptures to see if what they were being taught was really the truth?

Oh well.

Cinamengirl,
Hopefully you stay long enough to learn a little about the WTS.
You can present a good witness to us and possibly show us where we might be wrong.
Also,you might just show us that we need to go back to the meetings.
But if you just leave the I think you're giving a bad witness and you're not sticking up for the "truth".

By the way, I'm still a witness.

Are you Ex's still Christian?

whassup guys.

i've spent most of my web time over the last 2 years at another site full of ex-jdubs...i'd say about 50 people post there on occasion...many of that number regularly.. what struck me from the beginning, as i got to know the people posting there was...how many were now atheists...non-believers in god...the bible...pretty much anything they once held sacred as jw's!.

i dare say...90 some % do not consider themselves christian now!.

Hi Joel,
I've talked (typed) to you a couple of times on the other board.
You're right. There are many that seem to have stopped believing in God.
I don't know why it is that people stop believing after having believed in God enough to change their whole lives when they thought they found the right way to worship Him.
As far as me personally, I do believe in God and Jesus Christ.
I do believe what the bible says as far as the creation and how God wants us to be.
I know, the evolutionists will say we came from who knows what.
It takes more faith to believe life evolved from nothing than to believe we were created.
As far as God setting out ,in the bible, rules for us to follow He has the right. He knows what is best for His creation.
People say that there can't be a God. Look how bad the world is.
We,us humans have done it to ourselves. We have free will. But look at how we've used it.
And lastly, I do believe the prophecies that are written in the bible. The problem is,we have let others tell us what they mean instead of going to the One who will see that they (the prophecies) are completed.
As time goes on and we get closer to the "end" I do believe God will see to it that we will know what the real truth about Him is. He sees all of this bickering among religions. Each one thinking they're right. I believe He will make sure that we humans know without a doubt who He is. And I do believe that we at that time will make a choice whether to worship Him or not.
The verses about the 2 witnesses in Revelation I think gives us a clue as far as there not being a doubt about the choice we have to make.

i am sick of living a lie, yet afraid to change it.

married to a man who refuses to listen, who would rather plug his ears and shout "nooooooo" is taking it's tole.

i am afraid to speak my mind about my doubt, my thoughts, and what i'm learning, as i'm not ready to cross that point of no return.

Good News

matt.24:14. this good news will be preached in all the earth and then the end will come.. we have all remembered that verse,studied that verse and preached that verse.. the wts uses that verse to keep the jws going door to door.. of course,the wts also says we (everyone on earth)must become a jw in order to have gods favor.. i was having a discussion with a born again christian and he said the good news that is to be preached is about jesus having come and having been put to death for our transgressions.

so that we can now aproach god on the basis of the sacrifice.

in the name of jesu christ.. the wts says the good news to be preached is about the kingdom that is to come.. what do you think the good news that jesus spoke of is?.
