  is there anything that could make you go back?.

  what do you think, is there any change of belief or change of circumstance that could make you return to the jw fold?.

  i cant see anything that could make me go back,but i was thinking mabye some of you religious types would go back if they changed some doctrinal things,or if they stopped banning blood.. how about if a family member was dying and hoped to see you in paradise would you go back for a while just to make them feel happy?

  Go back to what?!?!

  A group of people that follow a bunch of men that can't make up their mind
  as to what the 'truth' is.

  That would be like going back to a ship on stormy waters without a sail and compass
  that is slowly sinking.

  Go back to being controlled by the WTS as to who you can have for friends, what you can read, what you should believe and when you should believe it?

  To go back, you would have to have some kind of belief that the WTS speaks for God.

  And seeing as the WTS has proven without a doubt that they DO NOT speak for God
  what would be the point of going back?

  Only if you are wanting to worship a man made and man run orginization would anyone go back because that is in esence what the WTS is all about.

  since i am one of my weird and lackadaisical moods today and don't feel like working i started a thread this morning about guilt by association which has spawned my weird mood cuz i'm still pissed off (and not one god damned cuss word in the whole post, i'm so proud.......oops, shi...i mean shoot!

  How Many Here Have Been Shunned?

  as most of you already know, the jehovah's witnesses are covering an article in their august kingdom ministry to be discussed the weeks of 8/19 and 8/26 which details how they are to shun and avoid those who are no longer members of their organization, even immediate family members.. .

  undoubtedly this article has been written to reinforce to the rank&file jehovah's witnesses the shunning policy, so as to tighten the ranks and prevent members from having the opportunity to learn the abundant contradictions and hypocrisies found within watchtower doctrine and practice from any who may have left.. this policy also serves to divide families and attempt to shame or abuse those whom have chosen to no longer be jehovah's witnesses, for whatever reason.. that much is obvious.

  in recent days this topic has been discussed in detail in various threads.

  After all, it is by using our minds that we are able to distinguish between good and bad.

  It is by using our minds that we can see what a cult is and decide not to follow it.

  And it is by using their minds that the Beorians were comended for checking the scriptures to see whether what they were being taught was true or not.

  once in a while i read the daily textbook where i regularly find many contradictions of teachings with the bible.

  note the example of the text for sat.

  8/3 taken from acts 12:24 which says the word of jehovah went on growing and spreading.

  i just don't get why all of you are so upset with the watchtower bible and tract society.

  now, they did make few mistakes, even though they are god's channel of communication.

  There is no reason for us to think negatively of this orginization.

  Just because people have died because of a false teraching doesn't mean they are not Gods true org.

  Just because they can't seem to come up with a truthfull teaching and stick with it
  instead of changing it every couple of years.

  Just because they are no better than the worldly religions they are always putting down for doing the same things they do.

  Just because they have, instead of a clergy, a group of men that dictate how JWs must think and act to be accepted by God.
  Actually, I guess they are a clergy.

  Ever lie on your service reports?

  did anybody out there lie on their service reports that they maintained the 'national average' when in reality you got .005 hours of service in any given month?

  i magically always used to always get "10" hours out in service, while nobody ever saw me at the groups, no one ever caught on, or seemed not to -- maybe they just didn't give a shit.. i always lied so i could keep my microphone 'privelidges' -- that being, the privelidge to walk around at the back of the hall giving my deflated ass a break from those awful chairs they had.

  Don't you realize that you're messing with the WTS end of the year reports?
