A new step in my exit from the WT

if you remember, i've been posting here my subsequent steps from a regular pioneer and ms at the beginning of this year to a rank-and-file publisher after stepping down as ms two months ago.. during these months, i've been through a difficult way.

but after every step, i could feel freer and better.

i've met a person outside the wt that has changed my life forever and i have experienced a freedom of thought and an inner peace like never before.. however, i knew that staying in my hometown would make my fading very difficult.

What's Happening in Italy? Bethel Relocating Departments to Bologna?

according to some websites, it appears there's going to be a transferral of several departments out of rome and to imola (bologna) in november, along with the sale of some property in the capital.. are they downsizing?

anyone know what's going on?.

I visited one time. What a let down compared to Brooklyn.

First time I went to the Vatican, I pompously refused to go in.

Since then I have gone many times.

So many regrets:(

you all pretty much know my story so i won't repeat it but.... to say i'm being hounded by my local congregation is an understatement.

today the cobe finally found us in.

well, i refused to answer the door but my husband did.

Just keep ignoring them, putting them off, and not giving them any ammunition.

Eventually, the will give up.

Did you ever buy into 1975?

for those of you that can remember.... did you really believe that armageddon was going to come in 1975?

i was a child of the 60s, in my teens in the 70s and can honestly say that i never bought into it.

i saw brothers and sisters selling their homes and moving into rented property.

My mom got baptized in 74 because of the fear instilled in her about 75 and that if she wasn't her kids would die too.

Folly of claiming “only we have the truth”

one’s mindset and its conditioning pursue what one believes to be the “truth” which it says ‘i can perceive with my senses.

this makes possible for the life to be perceived in many different ways.

imagine all were born blind.

An honest question for those who were "born-in"

just wanted to ask a question of those who were born in as i was.. how did you feel to have been "privileged to have been born into the only true faith - the truth"?.

did this make you feel confident, or proud - or perhaps arrogant?.

how did you reconcile the fact that 99% of the earth's population was not born "into the truth"?.

I thought I had won the best lottery ever.

Looking back it really gave me licence to blow off many normal responsibilities because ...
A. they were not spiritual activities,
B. the new system would come soon so I didn't have to worry about my future,
C. because it is easy to become totally lazy about life when you are told the most important thing you can do is wander around your neighbourhood knocking on empty homes and looking for your next coffee break spot.

2018 Annual Meeting

does anybody have any word on the 2018 annual meeting?

i assume something new will be rolled out, since they are having all the congregations do special weekend streaming.. my guess is that there will be some major "new light" concerning the memorial, partaking, anointed, etc.

i would guess that they will say all baptized believers should partake.

No doubt it will be the most important event of your spiritual life.

Evidently, you will be talking about being there when you are in the New System and Noah and David will be green with envy (then they will be killed for thinking bad thoughts).

It is a NEVER TO BE REPEATED event!

Could it be the LAST Anual meeting? It COULD! It COULD!

Marrying outside the lord

i should know the answer to this but my memory is failing big time.

our friend just called who is still in the cult.

he's been away from it for about five months now.

An annulment is not going to get you considered "scripturally free".

If you had sex with her - your stuck.

If she fooled around and that's why you got the annulment, she would have to confess, then the marriage would be dissolved in a way to make you "scripturally free"

If you screwed around and she didn't, then she could divorce you and both be free but you would probably be DFed for Fing around.

There are NOT enough details to make a call here.

20 years as an elder, with many cases like this in mine and other halls.

NO ONE WAS EVER DFed for Marriage outside the religion.

This is NOT a DFing reason unless they are not free to marry.
