7 + billion people are about to become human hotdogs (that's what tony morris tells us) and we are worried that jesus may not like the video games we are playing.
god and his 144000 are going to slaughter 7 billion including - 500 million kids, and about 200 million pregnant women, but he doesn't want us to play Grand Theft Auto, or watch Saving Private Ryan because he HATES violence.
No conflict at all.

it the question that i have found myself constantly asking myself the past few months.

out of all the jws i interact with, why did it have to be me that woke up from this mess?.

i am relieved that i have woken up to the bullshit, but a side of me misses that fuzzy feeling of being a 100% believer.

I had a conversation recently with someone I had not seen in a long time. He mentioned about the building work, and how people are coming in hand over fist.
I was like - did you read the Yearbook? Did you notice we only gained 118K last year? Are halls getting built in your area, they are not in mine.

That was me for sure.
It was so hard. Hearing the most trivial things attributed to god, or the most horrible acts of violence in the bible committed by god spoken of as if they were so wonderful. And then you have the elder and ms body who are mostly uneducated morons who can't complete a sentence - just painful.

Has anyone noticed the JW movies are trying to normalise their lifestyle?

having watched the prodigal son returns movie produced by the organization and a recent mini-clip of a brother in london who is shown jogging and doing normal everyday things while wanting to "reach out" it occurred to me that the organization is trying to normalize their bizarre lifestyle and beliefs for the benefit of non-witnesses.. what do i mean by normalization?

they try to make the witnesses look like just another christian denomination who are reasonable while their members live and enjoy normal lives that appear to be within the mainstream.. they do this by not mentioning anything to do with higher education, armageddon or the urgency of the end of the world nor is their discussion or mention of the blood issue.

these are things mentioned often at kingdom halls and in study articles.. watching the prodigal son returns, the family appears to live a normal life, going to meetings and studying.

HOW AMAZINGLY DELUSIONAL IS IT!!!!
Publishers spend thousands of hrs and get get someone down the street to come to 1 meeting - Yes handing out flyers (by the way cultish looking ones) indiscriminately is going to convince someone to drive an Hr or more to go to some Convention with people they usually hide from?
Can there be a more colossal waste of time?
Can there be a more disrespectful way to waste hrs of people's lives doing this?
If you got a 3% success rate (good rate for a business mailer) then you could justify it maybe.
But NO ONE goes to conventions because of a crap flyer. NO ONE goes to meetings cus they missed out on that but they will see what its about locally.
It's not a Joke - its a horrible and well thought out way to control the lives of JWs.
JWs pay the society with hrs of there life, then must report that time, and then are pressured to do more.

did any of us ever finish a meeting and think "i feel so enriched"?

I did during a few different CO visits. We had 2 that were really good guys, smart, loving, caring. One especially is was what you would think a rep of Christ should be like.
I also liked meetings where I gave a talk or had a part, because of the massive effort I would put in to make them informatice, motivational, and realistic.
Besides that NO!
