  Did your congregation rehearse service meeting parts?

  i was just thinking back to some parts i conducted.

  when other publishers were involved in the part, its success often depended on how well rehearsed the participants were.

  timing, proper interplay of dialogue, dramatic impact, etc.. as the one giving the part or as one drafted to do a demo, did your elders require rehearsals?.

  "You Can Do Just Enough Ministry To Dislike It"

  when you were "in" did you ever actually enjoy the ministry?

  and i made no secret about it.

  instead i would joke about me feather knocking, and made sure i had my bible in hand so as they come to the door they know what im about so they can shut me down before i even start.. i always wondered how or why there were people who enjoyed it.

  When you were "in" did you ever actually enjoy the ministry?

  Never - I tried really hard - even pioneering - I enjoyed being with people in the car groups - and frequent coffee and bathroom breaks - and driving in the least efficient way from call to call. But the answer is no.

  ls homosexuality really normal?

  l know animals do it but their animals.they dont live by a moral code.the thought of 2 men going for it is not normal.what are your thoughts?.

  You answered it yourself - if its part of nature its natural.

  As for a Moral Code? Who's? ISIS? The Nazi code? The Mormon Code?
  
  A moral code is a man made agreement between a group of people about what's socially acceptable.

  In the bible the Moral Code allowed for Slavery and Genocide.

  What you are comfortable with is your own personal code - not mine or others.

  now i know i am getting older or of the older generation.

  i have had a very strange day with a lot of strange dealings with people with strange behavior today but this one incident was just over the top.

  so i came out of a store in a busy shopping center.

  This is a direct cause of the poison filled teaching of religion from the beginning. Demonizing the human form and the most natural of activities "sex".

  4 baptism, 3 adults and 12 year old son of an elder from my cong.

  Guarantee you the 12 year old was under lots of pressure to get baptized because if his dad is an elder - he would be under pressure from the CO and others.

  Great pick-up LTPF - thanks.

  I would love to know what the "brother" thinks as he does this. This is not an accident.

  Some years back I started to see this pattern when I was preparing major Convention talks.

  I actually looked up ALL the references - not to find fault - but to really know the subject better than anyone there - and not to just be a parrot.
  
  I started to become really disturbed by the MANY quotes take out of context.
  Even then - when I was in - I found I had to omit things that just were untrue.

  I doubt all but a small % of elders actually look up any reference material sadly.

  but verse 12 says:but before all these things happen, people will lay their hands on you and persecute you,+ handing you over to the synagogues and prisons.

  you will be brought before kings and governors for the sake of my name.

  Being a father - I just can't imagine what it would be like to be a parent in this situation.

  I completely understand the desire to end horrible suffering of your child, and I can't imagine I would have the strength to allowing it.

  Talk about dammed if you do and if you don't.

  My heart goes out to any parent who has to deal with situations like this.
