by stillin inthe first thing i saw when i went in was the two video screens having the watchtower singers chorus doing a number.
the sound wasn't up enough to make out the song, but the video was grotesque.
the singers were swaying to the music, all independent of each other, no discipline, actually sloppy-looking.

in retrospect: RBCs vs LDCs / the hype about a lot of new construction and subsequent abrupt halt to construction
by Magnum inso, now that some time has passed, i’d like some input/thoughts/analysis/etc.
on the jw construction situation in the last few years.. first, why did they discontinue the rbc arrangement and institute the ldc arrangement?
was it for more and/or better control?

Congregations are pumping money to the branch for the MASSIVE building work that was needed.Yet NO ONE knows of any building.
I was told by someone who was high up in the RBC in our area, that only a handful of new McHalls were building in the USA.No one figures out the bate and switch? We need a million halls today! We are consolidating halls because we don't need that many!

Isn’t concept of sinner itself faulty?
by venus ina person may sometimes get swelling on his leg and may have limped a few times—but he is never called lame.
similarly, sometimes a person may slip into selfishness and use his free-will to his own harm or to the harm of others—but this does not make him a sinner because the ability to do the contrary (ability choose to commit virtuous act to any extent) too exists in him.
if one’s occasional sinning does not make him a sinner, sin of another person (such as first human couple) can never make others sinners.

"Only Witnesses demonstrate Christian Love"
by Jules Saturn inso a couple of nights ago i was speaking with a relative and we began talking about the organization.
i had to asked her "why do you believe that this religion is the correct one?
" they stood quiet for a second but then said that they view and feel genuine christian love, a type of love that is spoken about in the bible.

I experienced the true love of the congregation when I stopped coming to meetings and was preemptively shunned by all of them for NO REASON. -

The special talk is now BEFORE the Memorial
by wifibandit inaugust 11, 2017 to all bodies of elders re: 2018 memorial invitations and date of special talk .

the 2018 memorial will be held on saturday, march 31, 2018.. the 2019 memorial will be held on friday, april 19, 2019..

I look at this from a different point of view.
This talk is for The IN. Not for those invited by the campaign or RVs.
It was one of the hardest things EVER to get a call or study to come to Memorial.
We had VERY VERY few "interested ones" show up each year.
Believers Family and Faders would be the ones you would see - not anyone from the Campaign work.I think this is directed at fanning the flames of the BASE.

There are pretty clear guidelines for DFing - and most elders do not want to DF people.
COs and the Branch review DFings - so things that the WT does not consider valid don't really happen.If someone says they got DFed for masturbating or going to a club - they are probably not telling you the whole story.

The Confederate Flag has undergone a similar 180 in the South by becoming a benign symbol of the South itself and its spirit of good ole boy rambunctiousness.
I have to disagree strongly on this one.
From experience - the only people I have ever seen that like the Confederate Flag are - frankly bigots.
