Someone help my out, my old brain isn't working.
New teaching as of 10/5/24: The beginning of the GT will be the governments handing over control to the UN (the wild beast of Revelation), which will move to destroy Babylon the Great, still defined (I think) as the world empire of false religion.
So what was the old doctrine, and how is this change any different? Isn't that what they have always taught?

The perfect tool for Glock magazines
by Wonderment inthose of you who own glock pistols know that it takes a bit of know-how or work to open a glock magazine for cleaning, or for adding a magazine extension to increase round capacity.
the reason why glock chose this method of retaining is to prevent accidental release of the magazine springs and cartridges in case they are dropped.
the military and law enforcement agencies appreciate this system more than the average joe.

by silentbuddha innot sure if anyone really remembers this case, it was huge at the time.
the very interesting point though about this was that at the time the parents were known to be very active in the jw religion.
i also believe that the father may have been an elder(i could be mistaken, though).

I recall there was a family murder with two sons killing their JW parents, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Menendez family, rather was someone else.

My opinion is that if there is such a change, it would be motivated entirely by GB succession planning. The doctrine began in the Russell days when 144,000 seemed like a lot considering the relatively few people in the Bible Student association. May have seemed believable at the time, but as the years have gone by and there's no end in sight, it has become ridiculous. The pool of candidates for leadership, ie: the GB, is so small that all they can get are nitwits.
